"The process from start to finish (of the project itself) was pleasant. Tom came to do our quote and was very good about not rushing us into a quote. We've quoted with several other contracting companies to transform our old fiberglass tub and shower into a walk in setup and Five Star Bath came in with the best price and the most polite people. I'm keeping a star off, however, just as a way to provide critique: We were cautioned to let the shower cure after the job for 24 hours, but this was insufficient for the footshelf, which slid after we believed it to be cured. (Also hot/cold valve was backwards.) In their favor, they came to fix this no questions asked but it took me a bit of prodding to get through to the right people. Perhaps some extra information on who to contact sooner for such things would help. The gentleman that came out to help was very polite and promptly fixed the problem. Great overall."

"They were the sub for Platinum Remodeling on my bathroom remodel. Their job was to measure, cut and install the glass shower door. BIG complaint. The Platinum guys said from the beginning that the clearance they saw these glass doors was enough for the elegant tile pencil trim framing the glass tile strip where the glass would be installed. Glass & Mirror insisted that they had to grind the pencil down for the install. After the install, it was clear that THEY DID NOT HAVE TO GRIND THE TILE PENCIL DOWN. The result is that they caused an absolutely beautiful tile job to be marred. That speaks to me of some degree of incompetence although the door is cut perfectly, and excellent quality and their installers did a very good job."

"Great plumber!  If you're looking for an honest, thorough and affordable plumber I wouldn't look any further.

 I had problems with low pressure in my hot water.  I got three estimates and the other two guys (Southtown and Roark) insisted on replacing all the hot water steel pipes in the basement right to the water main for $3000-$4000.  

Chris had a much more reasonable approach.  He gave me an estimate with three choices 1)re-piping the first 10 feet or so, 2)re-piping all the hot steel pipes in the basement and 3) re-piping all the hot and cold steel pipes in the basement.  He was very flexible and said that he would try the least expensive option first, then if it didn't work, he would try the 2nd and 3rd if necessary.  He had two of his employees come out to do the re-piping.  It turned out that the least expensive option worked great, so I only had to spend a few hundred bucks.  Compared to the other estimates I got Chris saved me $2000-$3000.  Also, his estimate for repiping all the steel pipes was still less than half of what the other guys wanted to do the same work.  Chris came by after the piping was done and also fixed my problematic kitchen faucet for only an extra 50 bucks while he was here.  I'd definitely use them again."

"Brendan, the installer came out and gave me a quote that was understandable and complete. He recommended certain systems based on my needs, and gave me his cell number for any further questions. The prices came below any others, and in come cases nearly 1/3 less. I talked to him later about how other options might help, and he was very helpful. During the installation they explained to me (and showed me) where the previous system failed, and how this would not happen with the new system and why. When finished the utility room was cleaner, and the heating was more organized than before.

"Did a great job.  Workers were great and professional.  
Need to hire another project manager.  They are very busy, and for a good reason, they are good.  Problem, was communication.  If they would just send a quick email, and say "we need to push the start date", "We will be having so and so come this day and this day" etc...
We had to email(Some times late responses) and do all the calling to find out what was going on.  The head guy apologized and told us one of their main workers got hurt.  Which we totally understood, but if we didn't call X times we never would have known.  For the most part when they said they were coming they showed up on time...few times they did not but did call and tell us.  The project manager was just overwhelmed with all the work so they need to look at this issue and fix it.  We are not high maintenance, all that was needed was a quick 5 minute email at the beginning of each week to say X will be there on X days and we are doing X work.  Communication got better at the end.
We are very happy with their work for the price.  They were very accommodating to change etc...  We will easily use them again for any bathroom remodeling we ever do.

"A property that I recently purchased needed a complete re-do in the mechanical room, which had no place for water to go if the worst occurred.  Another Angie’s List firm helped put together a plan that water proofed the floor by building the equivalent of a tiled shower floor with cement board, Red Guard, and porcelain tile.  It included a new floor drain as well, which the room did not previously have. Because I was under a time constraint, the tile work was sub-contracted with Brian Geurts of Brian’s Whatever, LLC.  I believe Brian used to be on the other company’s team and is now doing independent trim, ceramic tile, sheetrock, backsplash, bath, kitchen, and basement remodeling.  He also apparently does the tradeshow display setups for a local tile company.  I discovered that he has a lot of remodeling experience. Brian did a wonderful job waterproofing and tiling the mechanical room floor.  He even created a hinged trap door in the tile floor that gives me access into the crawl space.  He set it up so once I’m done with the remodeling project, I can add a bead of silicon to complete the waterproofing seal on the door access.  He even volunteered to come out and do it himself if I need it. Brian was very professional and offered up ideas that I had not thought about.  He even took a weekend of his own time to get the job done.  You don’t see that everyday.  His work looks great and he pays attention to the detail.
