"Have worked with Jeremy and Larry at 1st Security for a few months now and they're great. They're far more responsive than any other alarm company I've worked with and they're focused on meeting your needs, versus endlessly trying to get you to buy more services and sensors that you might not need. In the house I just bought some other alarm company had installed a window open/close sensor on a window that doesn't open - probably fooling the prior senior citizen owners to pay more for more equipment they didn't need. I rest assured that 1st Security would never do something so foolish and greedy. They're good, honest people, and this is something that's unfortunately hard to find in the alarm business. From the very first contact Kenny was personable and professional, and was instrumental in helping us decide our best options. We followed many of his suggestions, but when we didn't he was totally fine when we wanted to go a different direction. I'm probably not the easiest person to work for, and I'm sure Kenny had to feel some frustration at times with my demands, but he took it all in stride and always remained pleasant. There will always be hiccups in a job this size and I'll admit we had our share. When I felt Kenny missed something or didn't do something to my satisfaction I always brought it to his attention and he was quick to fix whatever it was. Fortunately it was very easy to communicate with Kenny, and I believe he felt the same way towards us which help the whole process go smoothly. The remodel took a little longer than we expected, but in the end we are satisfied with Kenny's work and would hire him again."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

This contractor totally demolished my bathroom and built me one that was more than I expected. I'm still trying to believe it's my bathroom. There was a slight delay at the beginning of the project, but the project was still completed ahead of time.

"Jim from Vanguard came to our house after we called him to consult about replacing the doors, which were broken. He was nice, professional, and was not pushy. We gave a deposit for him to order the doors. Then, we waited. And, called. And, heard nothing. After 3 phone calls which weren't returned, we were concerned. We then left a message on the company's emergency number. We got a call the next day and they scheduled the date for installation. They said they were having trouble with scheduling because of vacations (but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have called back.) The installers arrived when they said they would and performed the work with no mess. We were not home and didn't even see them but when we came home, the doors were great! Installed well and so quiet. Our experience would have been excellent if it weren't for the problem with them calling us back."
