"We were in a huge time crunch as we needed the computer to be repaired TODAY! Jim came out on a Saturday (a big SEC football Saturday at that) and got the computer up and running. He didn't seem rushed or frustrated, just glad to help us. Jim is always professional, always on time and quick to respond to emails or questions. His prices are more than fair, in fact, I paid him more than he asked for because I knew his time was worth more than the price he quoted me."

My mother's air conditioning unit was about 20 years old and for the past 2 - 3 summers, she had had problems with the air going out. She used a warranty company but this time they wouldn't help saying she had had someone outside of the company work on her unit (which she hadn't). After many calls and conversations, she realized they would not help. She called me (my mother lives in St. Louis, but I live out of state) asking for assistance. I went online and called several companies, it was close to the holiday weekend and no one wanted to come out and to give a quote until the following week - after the 4th of July! My last call was to Manson's Heating & Cooling. They answered the call promptly - I didn't have to go through a series of prompts and button pushing to speak with someone, and they agreed to come out that same day. When the technician arrived (Kim), he checked everything out and stated her unit was basically worn out and did need to be replaced (which is what the two companies through the warranty company said also). At this point her air had been out for about two weeks with the temperatures in the 90's and she was desperate. He quoted her a very reasonable price, and she called to have me speak with the technician. He was very straight forward and explained to me what was going on with her unit, and why it needed to be replaced. I explained that I would be paying for the unit to be replaced, but that I lived out of state and could not get the funds to my mother's account until that Thursday or Friday. We were able to work out a deal over the phone that was comfortable for each of us and God Bless him, he put her unit in the next day!

I called her back that Tuesday and she was so happy to have them there putting in her new unit. She stated they were so nice and respectful. They arrived around 8 am that morning and everything was completed by early afternoon. She has had no further problems with her air and hopefully it will remain that way long into the future. But if something does happen, our first call will be to Manson's Heating & Cooling!

"Bob was on time, he explained the process, he showed me how to remove, clean and replace my furnace filter, and he left his name and number for future cleaning/maintenance. He also recommended that I begin to save for a new furnace as it will be needed in the future. Bob did not pressure me into doing unnecessary work nor did he try to get me to buy a new furnace before it is needed--he just offered to help when it is needed."

"They did a great job. It took a while to get them started - I put down a deposit in July, work started in early Dec. These guys are understandably popular. It didn't bother me as I didn't have any particular timetable. Once they started, there were no delays - somebody was there working Christmas Eve & New Year's Day even! The guys doing the work were all very good - I would particularly recommend Quentin, who did great work. I felt as though he had just as much of a stake in making my kitchen perfect as I did. He even brought some of his own Mexican tile in to put in the backsplash - I thought that was really above & beyond the call of duty! Tom kept the costs down - compared to other companies his bid came in $7-8k less. The only overrun we had was that the stack needed to be replaced, but even then it came in at a reasonable cost. Things went smoothly with Good Neighbors - I am very happy with the work and will definitely call them for the next project."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
