"We went with an Angies List Deal for the energy audit, which turned out to be a very good deal! The energy audit was subcontracted by Stellar to E3 Power, who were excellent! They took infrared photos, blower tests, got into the crawl space and attic, checked the furnace and air conditioner, the whole nine yards. It was a very thorough check of the entire house and all its systems! The main recommendations for our situation were for more insulation in the attic, and for sealing the crawl space to make it part of the house interior. After the audit, we got estimates from several companies in addition to Stellar for the insulation and sealing work, and ended up going with one of the other companies for the work. But now that it has been several years since the audit and insulation work, I am considering paying for another audit to see just how much improvement we got from implementing the recommendations (plus, we recently replaced our 30-year-old windows, which was one of their longer term recommendations). I would not hesitate to contact Stellar and E3 to do an energy audit!"
