"The technician came much sooner that originally scheduled, which was fine with me since I was home all day anyway with a busted heat pump.  He was very courteous, professional and friendly.  He diagnosed my heat pump was a bad compressor I believe and gave me an estimate on a new compressor and an estimate on a new heat pump system.  I didn't see any sense in putting any more money into a 16 year old system.  I could tell he hated to tell me the bad news on having to get a new system and could tell that he was an honest person so I didn't feel like he was only trying to get money out of me.  He never pressured me into either getting a new system or having it repaired.   I ended up going with another company for my new heat pump install only because they gave me a better price and was also a great company to work with but if you want great and honest service, you can't go wrong with Standard!  I honestly can't say enough GOOD things about the service I received.  All the way from my initial call to the receptionist to the service technician.  I am very happy I called them! <br />"

Instead, the amount spent on putting in a bathroom, kitchen and laundry room in my basement came out to the same amount the GC had estimated which included his fee. The work took way too long and I was at the mercy of the workers because I didn’t have the needed expertise in those areas to supervise and make decisions about what was being done. In the end I needed to hire and consult with Michael for his expertise about the final product and how it might affect the appraisal of my house.
