They called before arriving and went above and beyond to explain cooling and heating to a new home owner. So on a Friday, yet again, the heat was creeping up toward 75F and I called Joyce. The technician and I went over a few scenarios and he said tbh if it was what he thought it was they did not have the part until Monday and I'd save $ by manually turning on and off the furnace. That was very helpful. The problem was not as simple as they had imagined and after the initial visit they had to return two more times to address the issue. I was only charged for the initial visit making the two return visit costs "on them". Beyond helpful and beyond professional. All around a class act!"

"First technician (maybe Dave?) diagnosed heating problem, shut off the unwanted heat in front rooms (because it is summer), and provided options for full repair, but we did not have time for repair that day. Following week, second technician (Guy) came for annual AC checkup, and was also able to recheck the heating problem and review options. We discussed plans to fix the heating problem along with annual heating checkup in September, and revisit the AC next year. Both technicians seemed knowledgeable and professional."

"I needed to either have my existing furnace repaired or replaced. My furnace I currently had was over 20 years old and had visible holes in it. I around for 4 estimates. Two companies were on holiday break. Two companies responded: McGinley and Sears.Bill McGinley came over within two days of my initial call to give estimates on repair/replace. Bill McGinley indicated that to repair would cost $1800 and to replace would run $2800. The estimate from Sears was more than double that of McGinley on the replacement and they said that they would not recommend repairing at all. Bill McGinley came by again to answer questions that we had regarding connections, etc. and answered everything to our satisfaction. We also gave him an AngiesList coupon and asked if the 10% indicated would be on the installation or equipment. Bill said that it would be applied against the entire bill! What a nice surprise! He immediately took off $280 and gave us a new estimate and said that he was available later that week to install. He arrived within the 30 minute window he had given us and pulled out the old furnace, replaced it with a new, energy-efficient unit and left the basement tidy and clean. I am thoroughly happy with the experience. Bill has assured us that should we have any questions about the unit once we need to use it, he'll be more than happy to come out to accommodate us.  The entire process, from first call to installed unit took 9 days; 7 days from the estimate to the install.  When I thought they would be here for most of the day, they removed the old unit, installed the new unit and cleaned up after themselves in under 3 hours! <br /> I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again."
