"T-Mark came to work on a very old boiler that was not heating properly. The technician Scott arrived within the scheduled time window. He was very knowledgeable about boilers and was able to quickly diagnose the problem."

"They were great. I felt they were honest about their evaluation of the problem. reasonable in price. Did the work promptly and worked steadily. Also cleaned up after themselves and took away all the trash. I have already recommended them to a couple of other people and wuld use them again."

"Terrible, technician left and I still had a leaky sink. Said that I would have to make another appt. “Bullied” me into getting a $800.00 garbage disposal two months prior to avoid pipes clogging, two months later, same clogging !!! Technician went in my basement and told me I needed a new sump pump. Cellino is trying to get as much money from me as they can, without finishing their repair work. Never again. Horrible customer service and technicians have absolutely no idea what they are doing."

"Touchdown Heating & Cooling was great! My furnace broke on Thursday night, so I called for a quote on Friday afternoon, thinking that I might be able to have them take a look sometime on the weekend. They initially scheduled me for Saturday afternoon, but I got a call later saying that they were in the area and could swing by that same day (Friday). Chris, the owner, and Austin came by, took a look, and got me a quote for a repair, a basic replacement, and a deluxe replacement. My wife and I called around 9:00 that evening, requesting the basic replacement, and they were able to get it done by early Saturday afternoon. Chris and Austin were total professionals from start to finish. No bs, completely up front in the evaluation of the problem and in laying out our options. They quoted, we signed, and then they executed perfectly. I have no reservations in whole-heartedly recommending Touchdown H & C for your HVAC project, whether planned in advance, or in an emergency. Small jobs welcome

"Cellino did an excellent job. After calling five plumbers to fix a shower head spewing hot water and none of them could come for 4-5 days. I got hold of Cellino who came in a few hours and corrected the problem. The tech was very knowledgeable and had the job done in no time. Excellent job and of course 5 stars. Had I waited I probably would have had a lot of damage to my bathroom. "

Emerald Heating & Cooling was founded in 2000 by Marty and Carrie Sheehan, who combine their strengths to offer great HVAC service to the local area.\n\nThe business began after founder Marty Sheehan worked for an HVAC company and trained under a wise technician who told him “be like the duck on the water.” By this, he meant that ducks always appear graceful and in control above the water, while below the surface they are trying hard to stay afloat. It’s a metaphor for working hard while doing a beautiful job, hustling without mistakes, and doing great work without the fuss.\n\nMarty has taken this mindset and applied it to every aspect of our business, from the logo to the mission. This is how we approach every job we do.

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Buffalo, NY

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
