"Best HVAC company I've ever used. I won't use anyone else. They take their time to always do the right thing. And their work is always clean and tight. I'm very grateful I found them for our old house."

"I selected having my new HVAC (heatpump) system installed by Ragsdale based on the qualified sales consultation, the use of Carrier products made in the USA, and Ragsdale being a local certified family run business. My new unit was installed this morning by two technicians who worked efficiently and who kept me in the loop about the new equipment, thermostat, warranty, and FAQs. They were polite, neat & tidy. Well recommended."

"Talked to four different companies, Coolray’s quote was the easiest to understand & compare options, pricing was competitive. The consult and recommendations made sense and the sales consultant listened to our questions and had thoughtful answers. Install was flexible, they were ready to go any time and willing to do a Saturday install which we preferred. Installers were courteous, clean and efficient. I had a few quality items that took a couple of callbacks to resolve but Coolray never hesitated to send someone out to make it right. They didn’t pause at writing a check to replace our attic stair tent that was damaged during installation. A good company that backs its work 100%. The after-install support sets the bar not just for HVAC contractors but for all other service companies."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Cartersville, GA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
