"After my initial call, representative Pat came to see exactly what we wanted done.  Since we did not know all their options he suggested that the owner Mike come to discuss all the Heating and Air conditioning options for us and the prices.  Mike came and we decided on the mini splits because they were easy to install with only 3 days of disruption to our normal living schedule and they were far less expensive to either hot water heat, which require installing copper pipes in every room and a plumber to do the work and a duct system of delivering forced hot air  to all the rooms with an oil furnace.
We asked that the work start on the 15th of July and it did.  Mike thought it could take three days since the daily temperature was in the 90's but they completed it in two days and left everything clean and orderly.  They did have to cut down some of our foundation plants to make room for the condensers which sit on the ground.
The tubes from the mini splits are run through the walls to the condensers outside and covered with a tube that looks like a gutter drain.  These are on two sides of the house and do look a bit unorthodox on my rough sawn cedar home but I will get use to them or paint them to match the grey stain on the house.  This is why I rated Quality  only good for I have no idea how all these materials rate to other systems and how they will hold up.  Time will tell.
We were able to use them immediately when the installation was completed on the 16th for air conditioning.  Since they work on the same system for heat we only have to change the mode on the remote to Heat and it starts heating the house instead of cooling it.
I had no idea  what a heating and AC installation would cost so I think it is a bit expensive  but I have learned it is far cheaper than other systems especially since my house was built in 1976 with electric baseboard heating which cost a fortune to run in the winter since two upstairs rooms have 18 foot high ceilings.  I have been told this new system will save at least 40 to 50% on electric costs.  I will be keeping track immediately to see if this is true now with the AC system.  If it does I will change my price rating to excellent.

"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. "Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"I could not be more pleased with this company or this service. I found them here on AL and with a rebate, it was a great deal. When I called, the woman who answered was extremely polite and helpful and took the time to go over the entire audit process with me (she wasn't rushed as some receptionists are). They sent an email to confirm the date and time.
When the team arrived, they were on time and each of them introduced themselves by name to me before coming into my house. They were all very polite and courteous. The leader (I can't remember his name) gave me an overview of the process and explained things as they went. Basically, they simulate high winds around the house and then monitor for where leaks are. My house is relatively new and has no basement, so it was already pretty efficient, but there were some major leaks by the front door and attic door, which they sealed on the spot. They also showed me that I could hold my hand over any electrical socket, even ones on interior walls, and feel the "wind"--which means air was leaking out those! So I plugged them all with those little socket protectors. The guys also took me into the attic and showed me some leaks, and fixed them--and fixed the attic door by adding a little latch to help it stay closed. All in all, they reduced the amount of air getting into my house by 500 (I forget the units). It was clear they didn't just make up this number--they showed me the number after the first test and then after the second test (when they had treated the problem areas).
I also got a few free CFLs and LEDs, and bought 3 more LEDs since they were at a great price. They left some rebates with me, although all my appliances are new so I didn't need anything. 
When they left, they each said goodbye and were very professional until the end. They were respectful in my home and asked before opening any closets or doors, etc. I felt very safe with them here, which is not always the case when people are in your home working. I think the price is a fantastic one, especially with the AL rebate that was on when I scheduled. I feel I got my money's worth. My husband and I had tried to plug some leaks ourselves, but we didn't really know what we were doing and we had no way to measure if we were really helping anything. This audit gave me hard numbers to look at and I was impressed that they did the fixes on-site (included in the price--for instance, they plugged a whole around my front door frame by installing a clear plastic barrier). It was a great deal and a great experience. Highly recommend!
Bonus--when we resell this house in a few years, I will definitely list that we got a professional energy audit performed on it and that it's very efficient. Definitely a selling point!

"Initial service call was to clean out air ducts.  Inspection found mold in ducts and air handler.  Revised job was $700 to clean, disinfect, and apply anti-mold solution to AC system, and to provide and install a UV light to help prevent mold issues from returning.
The cleaning went reasonably quickly, but they didn't have a UV lamp with them, so a return visit was scheduled.
The UV lamp was installed on the return visit, but due to a lack of electrical outlets in my attic, it is not currently active.  This is not the contractor's fault, but it would have been nice to know before purchasing the product.
