I have used SL for complete furnace/AC replacement, warranty work, regular service, after hours, and have referred 4 new clients to them. The only reason I have this experience with SL is because of the less than satisfactory experience I had with another HVAC company. SL has come in and replaced wiring, replaced the thermostat after rewiring the thermostat didnt work. And when one wire solution didn't resolve it, they didn't give up. They offered to provide fans in the summer and space heaters in the winter until the issue was identified and corrected. NOTE: The unit SL installed at prior address has only had regular maintenance needed to support warranty for over 8 years. My recurring issues are related to an incorrect installation during new home construction by an HVAC company who outsourced installation and then refused to stand behind their product & service."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"They did a nice job replacing my leaking water heater, but really dropped the ball on my pro-rated warranty. My old water heater was only 3 years old (also installed by Goering Plumbing) and I was told to expect a 50% credit. I have called repeatedly over the last 6 months to no avail and they will not return my calls. The one time I got a live person, he said he thought my check just came in and he would drop it in the mail tomorrow. I am still pursuing this issue but it is clear they do not want to communicate with me on this."
