"After seeing a coupon and reading some reviews on Angie's list, I called Paul at 8:00am after the refrigerator had not been working for the past 24 hours. He returned my call by 9:00am and set an appointment time between 11:00am and 1:00pm. He arrived on time. He tested several parts of the fridge and explained that the problem was with the defroster thermometer. Went to purchase the new part and replaced it. I was so pleased that he actually returned my call in a timely manner, arrived at the appointed time, and explained exactly why the fridge wasn't working. He was friendly and the price was very fair. We will keep his business card handy for any other repairs we need."

"John, owner of Improvement Pros, and his team recently finished a kitchen remodel for us. Although we kept the same layout, the cabinets, counters, kitchen sink, and backsplash were all replaced. His team also added crown molding and trim on the soffit to help it blend in with the cabinets. John is very good about keeping in touch throughout the project, so we usually knew what to expect day-to-day. The project did run longer than expected, but that was because one of his employees took a job overseas and quit without advanced notice. If that wouldn’t have happened, the job would have been finished as expected. To make up for that delay, John worked on a Saturday and gave us a small discount on the overall price. He also strived to make sure that my husband and I were both satisfied with the end results. Not happy about a tile? He’ll fix it. Cabinet doors look just a little off to you? He’ll straighten them. At the end of a project, he asks for honest feedback because he wants to keep improving his business. "Amazing customer service - I purchased new front door and sidelight. When Doug arrived, he found it was the wrong size and he told me the size I needed. I returned door + sidelight and order the right size. Doug came back out after I received new door and sidelight and removed old door and sidelight and installed the new one. He didn't charge anything for the first trip or for coming back out. The installation was done well and looks great.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Jose responded to my call for a price quote within two days and fixed a starting date.  There were delays as work progressed, but not the fault of Jose.  We discovered unexpected problems.  This is a 1960's house.  We found things that were not up to code, doors that were odd sized and had to be custom made, siding that was not a standard color, etc.  I watched the construction as it progressed and was impressed with the quality of materials and workmanship.  Jose does not cut corners and insists on following the building code.  He is genuinely concerned that the client be satisfied and happy with the project.
