"We just bought a new house and ripped up all the carpet in the downstairs.  We found that under some of the carpet there was already hardwood flooring, but it was not in good condition.  We wanted to compare prices for putting all new hardwood vs just sanding and refinishing what was there, and only installing new wood where it was absolutely necessary.  Bill told us that the wood in part of the house was a good quality wood, and he said he had a few pieces of it that he could use to patch the unrepairable areas, and then he could sand and refinish it all.  We also had him install new hardwood in two of the rooms.  We had been a little nervous about the patching, as we got a few estimates, and everyone who came in told us that a different type of wood was needed.  We are VERY pleased with the way the floors look.  The areas that were patched look perfect, and the wood that we thought was "not in good condition" looks as good as new.  The new hardwood that they installed is absolutely beautiful."

"What a great experience we had with Ed! He rescued us from a botched floor job. The previous contractor had done a very poor finish job which had resulted in unattractive floors. We brought-in several other floor professionals but Ed stood out with his knowledge and straight-forward approach to address our situation. He did not sugar-coat reality and provided us with realistic options. Once selected, his team showed-up and finished the job on-time, as promised. Their work is top-grade and we now love our floors. "Anh's crew was working as a subcontractor on our kitchen remodeling project, so we did not negotiate price or schedule with him directly. They did start one day later than scheduled, but the delay had minimal impact. Once on site, they got right to work. Our house is over 100 years old, with floors that have some pretty impressive slopes; in one place, the floor drops over an inch within a 6 foot span. They did some shimming to mitigate this a bit. They laid the new oak flooring and did a very good job; even with the wavy subfloor, the boards are very tight. They took four days to install, sand and finish/refinish floors in four rooms. They sanded between coats of urethane. At the end of the job, the floors looked beautiful. Upon close inspection, we did discover a few small blemishes, places where the polyurethane bubbles did not burst. Anh himself came over to the house and did the touch up, as well as patching some gaps where the new baseboards did not cover as much as the old baseboards did. This did take some weeks to schedule, he is very busy. Anh is a very friendly, cordial guy. He told us how to care for our new floors and explained everything he did. We are very pleased with his work."

"My husband and I wanted to build a new 3 season porch to replace our deck that failed. We interviewed 3 companies to perform the work. We choose Durable Remodeling. Dean Willette discussed the project taking the time to understand what were the key aspects of the project. He then discussed the options that were available to so we were able to make informed decisions throughout the process. The quote was very competitive. Since the deck would cover the outside entrance to our basement a trapdoor needed to be built into the floor. The drawings our architect drew had a spot for the door but the design would have been too heavy to open. Dean designed the door so it was both structurally sound and functional. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable and professional. The team showed up when committed, the team was knowledgeable and respectful. I always had a way to get in touch with someone to discuss any concerns I may have. When the work finished my house looked fabulous! The work was top notch. During one of the walkthroughs with the crew and the town inspectors, the inspector stopped in to tell me what a good job the team was doing. We really appreciated that.
