"Classic Pest Control and Insulation is fantastic to work with. We dealt with many other companies and contractors as part of a bigger project, and Classic was clearly the best. We called them in after checking out some other companies. They were by far the most knowledgeable and professional and did the best work. We originally hired them to remove and reinstall our attic insulation as part of a bigger project (mold remediation). However, we ended up hiring them to take care of our crawl space and pest control when another well-known company failed to follow up and complete the job properly. They removed, cleaned, reinsulated, and provided pest remediation for both our attic and crawlspace. Everyone I dealt with from the office staff, manager, estimator, installers, and pest control tech was courteous, organized, and very knowledgable. "It was wonderful, very professional, and went way beyond what I expected. I got 3 bids last summer to replace my single-pane windows. I chose Einar Johanson because the rep, Doug Tuft, explained things the most clearly, explained why my slider to the balcony barely worked, and had a very good price,about 8% under the other bids. I appreciated how clearly he explained the different options, and when I called/emailed, he got back to me promptly. <br> <br> <br>Because I live in a condo and EJ was not the preferred provider, I had to go through the board of the condo to get permission to use EJ. There was some confusion and misinformation from the manager of the condo, and in the end, after emails back and forth, a staff member of EJ came to a board meeting to explain how they would install the windows. The confusion was cleared up, and in January the work was done. A second measuring was done for the windows, and when they installers came, they were quite professional, very clean, and finished the work in one day! Although I was told I may need to put some touch up paint on the outside walls, I don't think it needs to be done because the installers were so professional. I love my new sliding door and windows, and my condo is much less drafty!"

"This is a second time we hired this company for our insulation. First for the first floor, now for the downstairs. Even though there were some issues with their track and the job was postponed for another day, the company completed the work. Similar to the first job they did, when they spray, they will miss some spots behind wires and hard to access areas. In these cases, you need to remember to mark them with red spray and they will fill them with foam from the cans OR just buy spray foam at Home Depot and spray yourself. Even though at-foam offers windows wrapping, we did it all ourselves. All Windows, doors, floor, electrical boxes and cans. I haven't seen them shooting the foam into electrical boxes much but it's probably safer to wrap them. The foam particles will fly everywhere, so make sure you wrap everything you don't want to damage, including the floor. I also checked the work with the thermal camera to find all missing spots. I recommend to get one to make sure you get 100% thermal barrier. Spraying is super fast, putting other insulation would take me weeks. For the first job, 2 years ago, we moved out from the house for 3 days. This time we stayed upstairs while the work was done downstairs. We opened the windows and kept them open with fan running for 2-3 hours. There was not smell and I am glad we didn’t move to the hotel. After spraying and filling the missed spots with spray from in cans, I got the city inspector. He signed off the permit without any issues. Last but not least, I took second quote from some company from Seattle. Other company was not so detailed about type of insulation they will do, they seem to not know what they are doing and their price was higher at the end. Because I had good experience from at-foam, I decided to not go with the other company. We will do house addition one day and I know I will hire at-foam again."

"I had renters in house in front of me who threw garbage off their deck, had large dogs...never cleaned up messes, garbage and junk littered the yard, etc.  <br /> I started having rat problems and when the pest control rep. came out and went under the house and attic, he said I  needed to have both areas cleaned out because of all the rodent feces, etc. there. I had one estimate done but wanted another one so I <br /> checked Angie's list for companys that cleaned out crawl spaces and attics.  I read all the ratings and comments of people having hired these companies and chose Miguel's company, STANDARD INSULATION AND REMOVAL , INC. because of the comments made by people who had hired him. <br /> I called him right away and he came out early the next morning and gave me 2 estimates...one for the crawl space and one for the attic as I requested.  (I showed him  the first estimate and asked for an estimate for the same work)  I blanked out the name of the first company.  He gave me the estimates and explained that he used products that were as good or better and explained the procedure for removal and installation.  He answered any and all questions I had...I tend to ask lots of questions.  (His estimate was about $2000 cheaper than the first estimate) <br /> Miguel and his co-worker were out every morniing by 8am and worked all day until about 5pm.  They worked  long and hard in miserable cold, wet weather.  <br /> I can't say enough about the work ethic and professionalism of Miguel and will recommend his company to anyone who asks for a recommendation.  <br /> My house was built in 1979 so the insulation rating was only R-15.  The drastic increase in the insulation should make a big difference this summer...if and when it gets hot... and of course the heat bill should show some difference too."

"I had Charlie come out to my condo today to perform an energy audit, as we have issues keeping our condo warm in the winter, and it gets hot and stuffy in the summer.
