I've been working with Robby and his team for over 10 years on behalf of third-party clients and he is one of the most trustworthy contractors I've known. When I moved to the Atlanta area two years ago it was a no-brainer to hire R Wiley for my home's yearly HVAC maintenance package and I'm glad I did. We've had Miguel, one of R Wiley's outstanding technicians out for service and maintenance and I've been happy with his work and helping to diagnose issues. When it came time to replace our very old AC & Furnace units, there was no sales pressure - just consultative solutions. R Wiley's pricing was in line with some of the more affordable bids and they don't try to push you into super high-priced marked-up units or things that should be included with installation, or all those "financing" programs where you end up paying way more for your project. Installation with Marvin was awesome - they were done with two units in one day and what a difference it's made. Overall an awesome experience from day one, with a successful multiple unit replacement. I'm glad I have them to continue to keep the units serviced on an annual basis as well. Highly recommend!"

"called several companies on 6/23/2014 , and Moncrief was the first one that could send someone out "as soon as possible in the afternoon". Not an issue since that was the response from every other company.
Technician arrived on time, was very professional and quickly found and fixed the problem.  Unfortunately, I didn't  explicitly tell him to review any repairs with me prior to making them.
I was charged a $95 diagnostic fee and $130 to replace a $15 capacitor.  $225 for 45 minutes of labor and $15 of parts. Overall a good experience, but I would not have agreed to $130 service charge for a capacitor replacement.

 To anyone reading this review.  I AM qualified to change a capacitor, the average user should not attempt to make any repair with a capacitor or any other device of this type as it can cause serious injury and death when done incorrectly.

I have no complaints with the technician, he was competent and professional and did a great job.

In response to your pricing explanation, that's great. I understand. We all need to do what we need to do to cover the cost of doing business. I don't feel like anything was not a fair or honest price.  I don't feel like it's out of line with the market cost.  Bottom line, I don't care. Your overhead of doing business to stay in business is not my problem.  I agreed to pay $95 for a diagnostic fee to find out what was wrong with the unit. I would not have agreed to an additional $130 to replace a capacitor had I been asked before the work was done. Once the work was done, I paid the bill and I'm not asking for a refund or anything else for many of the reasons you outline.

 Had I known it was the blower motor capacitor, I would have gladly accepted absorbing the 90 minutes to drive to one of the Industrial Supply stores in Atlanta that I have an account to purchase a new capacitor the next day because I'm cheap like that. The unit had been out for almost 3 days at that point and the other unit was picking up the slack pretty well.

 However, I didn't have to drive anywhere or wait for shipping because I ALREADY HAD THE CAPACITOR. I bought it when I had to replace the capacitor on the outside unit 2 years ago and I wanted one on hand when the inside unit went. I also know it wasn't bad out of the box, because I tested the capacitance and discharge in the store with a Fluke 113 multimeter before I took possession of said box. It was located in a drawer less than 15 feet from your tech. Given the opportunity, that's $34 I didn't need to spend.

 I would have most likely taken the chance on making the repair myself, as replacing the capacitor is not one of the more difficult tasks involved.  Make sure the power is off at the breaker, do that special thing that must be done to make capacitors safe, disconnect the leads, remove old capacitor, put in new capacitor, reconnect leads and so on. 

 While I appreciate the time you spent to write this review and the personal note that I received in the mail, I hope this helps you  understand the reason for my dissatisfaction."

"Casteel installed my new Furnace and AC over 2 years ago, and I had a question about the air return. When you take a new furnace and connect it to the existing air return in the wall, sometimes or all the time they are not a great match. I had a question about it and ended talking to Michael the service manager. He decided to send out Chuck because of his experience. Chuck started by checking the circuit board inside the furnace to make sure that all of the settings were correct. Then Chuck suggested a high volume air return grill for inside the house. Several weeks later Bobby Lee came out with the grill. Now with the grill off Bobby could see how the installers had to make the transition from my old wall to the new furnace. Bobby suggested changing the duct work to better fit the new furnace. I talked to Michael again and he had a meeting with Chuck and Bobby and they came up with a plan to make the air flow better. Chuck and Jeremy showed up with sheet metal and insulation. They took apart the air return completely, and made everything new. They were here for several hours. It looked like it was done the best possible, and it was. For my job I did Kitchen & Bath Cabinet service for the last 23 years, and when I went into my customers house I fixed their cabinets like it was my Moms house. That is how Chuck and Jeremy worked. When you call Casteel the operator says that they want to take Amazing care of you, and they do."
