I compared them to other larger installers and decided I wanted to give them my business. The installation went very smoothly, they were on-time and met every promise. There was a hiccup in the furnace the first night but Roy came right back out and within 15 minutes, problem solved. No issues since and it has been running great. "Contacted Dan Dugan for an estimate on a new installation. Old unit had been running with bandaids for a couple years and was beyond its life expectancy.
While I was sticker shocked at the price, I found out these heat pump systems are much more complex than a standard gas furnace. I also price compared and found this price to be within the customary range with installation.

Installation went down without a hitch. While this was my sons home, I sort of managed the project as he works a lot of hours. He basically let the installers in and do their thing while he went to work, so no inconvenience on either of our parts.
Installers were in and out same day, left no mess and everything runs great!

"They were called by our general contractor to do 2 plumbing fixes on our job, reattach our fixed master shower drain and replaced a small section of leaking PVC pipe. They were done in 20 minutes and said they were paid for an hour by the contractor and asked if we had any other issues.  I grabbed the kitchen sink drain we had bought 6 months ago and he put that it (which turned into a bit of a fight), then he attached a new stopper in our master bath sink, and diagnosed our guest bath sink's drain and told me what needed to be replaced and how (which I then did).  None of which we'd expected.
These extra things were at no extra labor charge since it was mostly done in an hour and we had the pieces to put in, just a few dollars for the PVC pipe.  Did a great job, were friendly, and kind to ask if there was anything else since they were paid for the time really appreciated them...far more than the general contractor who was a nightmare.
