After the dust settled and we had time to let the systems settle in, Luke followed up and came out to take care of some loose ends and check everything out. "Had service star Air & heating replace a 5 ton and 2.5 ton and two air handlers that had gone bad. Louis Ratti told me it would take his crew about 8 hours to completed the job from 9:am to 5pm. The crew got there on time and started to work right away. They were professional, courteous and proficient. There was no guessing to what they had to. They were good I say better than good. By 2:30pm they had both systems up and running and the work area clean and spotless. Not only that, I asked if they would connect my phone to both thermostat and with out hesitation they did it. "I had them clear my condensate line on my AC. They showed up on time and did that work sufficiently. All is good on step one. The issue arose when I asked them to do a full maintenance check on my AC/furnace since I had been having intermittent issues with my heating coming on. And, unsurprisingly, they said that the repairs would have been in the thousands of dollars and my only realistic option would be to replace the whole unit. A few days ago I was able to completely resolve my heating issues by Googling the problem and subsequently doing a manual re-start on my Nest smart thermostat. Problem resolved by a flip of the switch and I saved 3K+ dollars by not listening to their expert advice. So, my only recommendation to anyone reading this is to ensure that when you hire big commercial AC company repair companies like Enoch, go into it with your eyes wide open. They do not pay a bunch of money for leads because they want to repair your system. That is simply the excuse to get their foot in the door. They want to find an older unit and sell you a new AC unit every time if possible. That is where the big bucks are in this business, not in repair. By and btw, I am confident that they would do a great job installing new systems. But there is little regulation of this industry and no incentive for them to just fix the issue and buy you another few years when they could cash in by telling you that your issue is beyond repair. Notice how most of their reviews here are about installing new units. That is because that is primarily what they advise everyone to do; And people trust them. Here is my expert consumer advice: 1. NEVER buy an AC/heat pump from the initial company that comes out to repair the unit and then tells you that you have no choice but to replace your unit. All you are doing is incentivizing bad behavior. 2. Get a second opinion from another AC company. If they diagnose the exact same thing, then ask for a full replacement bid. Then, advise them that they are competing. 3. Come back to Home Advisor and post that you need a new AC/heat pump and provide the exact size and model number. Then collect the bids, check previous reviews to ensure the company is reliable, and then select the most inexpensive offer. If you make them compete, you will typically save somewhere between 30-40% of replacement costs. Good luck but BUYER BEWARE."

They also include replacing copper lines as part of the bid because it is a better way of doing things (other quotes did not). Got a great reasonable price, but was wondering about installation since that can make or break any system. Could not have been happier with crew that installed. Experienced, professional and friendly. Did the little extra things (like vacuum out the install area). Definitely knew what they were doing. Shawn very easy to deal with and came out to check on progress. Got a programmable thermostat to boot. Surprisingly positive experience--would highly recommend."
