"Our plumbing was shot. We hadn't been able to flush tp or run the shower and laundry at the same time in years. All the other quotes were so high we couldn't afford to fix the plumbing. Our last quote was Mike and we couldn't believe how reasonable his quote was. Literally several thousands under the competition. After he was under our house he found that we had several more pipe rot and breaks than we thought. He showed us the pipes. Mike was reasonable again with the price. He installed an entirely new system for thousands less than the others. He went about it in a smarter way too. After he was finished we found more problems outside the house. He fixed that too! He answered all our questions. He has patience. He worked with our budget. I plan on using him in the future and would recommend to anyone."

"Bryan was prompt, professional, friendly, and honest. He discovered my problem was a broken cutoff valve which he could replace. I had been told by another plumber that the entire water supply line would need to be replaced which would require 2-3 days and be very costly. As a senior citizen, I appreciate both his honesty and his competence. I highly recommend Stalcup Plumbing."

"I have had three plumbing repairs so far this year and hired three different folks. The first tow did good work, but had hidden fees and high prices. I called Hildebrant and asked questions about prices and hidden charges, he quoted me over the phone saying if what I asked for was all that was needed, he could quote. After work, they gave me a bill, exactly what was quoted. A good price, good work and friendly. i will call them next time I need plumbing."

"My original quote with the first company was that it would cost me 575.00 to repair my faucet. Tioga charged 245.00 to repair the faucet. It was corroded pipes between sheet rock and the outside bricks. They had to fuse and replace piping and faucet still 245.00 I do not feel cheated."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Grand Prairie, TX

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
