"John promptly returned my call and we set up an appointment for the next morning to have him take a look at my garage door opener which was not working correctly. John was able to figure out immediately what was wrong and got the opener working in about 5 minutes. Since it was such an easy fix he helped me reprogram my opener and also serviced the garage door. He noticed that when the door was manually lifted it was quite heavy. He asked me if I had the spring replaced recently and I said yes...about a couple of years ago. He adjusted the spring and then oiled all the hinges. Great job. Highly recommend John for the great work.

"Ronnie, the owner, was great from start to finish. He explained exactly why the picture window cracked, how it was installed improperly in 2002 by whoever did it, and how he would replace it properly. He even took the time to find the information on the window that indicated when it had been manufactured/installed. I was impressed with his ability to diagnose why it broke. He had a young man with him who was training, and Ronnie was making sure he could figure out the issue. I knew, even if his price was higher (and it was a bit), I would go with him. I totally trusted Ronnie and that the job would be done right. The removal of the old window and the installation of the new one was quick, efficient, and very professional. He even had to deal with a nosy neighbor with beginning dementia who wanted to know what was going on! :D Thanks, Ronnie. You run a top notch company! I'm happy to recommend this company."

"This was one of the most seamless repairs I have had done for either me or my mother. They arrived on time, in fact, slightly early, which is almost unheard of. They explained to us what they were looking at, and what they were replacing. They were literally in and out in under 45 min, which is fantastic! The door opens perfectly and it was worth every penny because a new door was $2500 not installed! Use them, you won’t regret it!"

"I called Forest door for a quote and they came out to quote it right away. Their price was competitive. I had them quote on the door quite a while ago but I did not proceed because of cost. When I re-opened my inquiry, between them and their competition, they were able to locate the quote quickly and got the business. It took about two weeks for the door to come in and they installed it right away. The two man crew came out to my house within the one hour time frame. It took a few hours to install."

"Next Door and Window easily exceeded my expectations. We had a front door and sidelight replacement and a Bay window replacement. The removal was done with great care and the new installation was seamless. Both the window and door crew's were neat, speedy and obviously experienced. I would highly recommend them."

"Mal, the owner, delivered as promised. He had a team of two men perform the installation. They took their time and did a fine job. Their were some extras and they did a good job on them as well. While the workers were very skilled, Mal frequently visited the job site and made certain everything was going according to plan. I'm not a siding expert, but I wanted to be sure all aspects of the installation were being done properly so I asked a lot of questions. The guys were always ahead of me and patiently answered my many, many questions. Neither Mal or the workers ever seemed to take shortcuts or skip agreed upon extras, which so many other contractors do, One thing that appears to be unique about Mal's installation is the way he profiles the doors and windows. Every piece of metal is painstakingly bent before installation resulting in a rich look to the trim. The man who does it is an artist with a break. They did one side at a time, which I appreciated, and while my home was definitely a job site, they kept supplies reasonably neat. After the job was completed, the dumpster and leftover supplies were quickly removed leaving almost no mess for me. I had the job done because, while maintained, my 40 year old cedar was starting to show it's age. I personally don't think siding adds much to a house, but I was amazed at how many people walking by commented on how nice the new siding looks. I would use Mal again."

"There were three contractors involved in the rehab of our front entrance: Murphy’s Windows & Sunroom for the entry door and staining, The Steam Whisperer for the radiator and Ardrahan Woodworking for the bench. Murphy’s was the lead contractors but all did an outstanding job; as they each not only exceled at their individual tasks, but worked well with each other to ensure a timely finish to the project and minimal disruption to the running of our home. This was critical we have a preschooler and I run a design business out of the house and have clients come through the front door daily! We knocked out the closet and fixed the plaster ourselves so the craftsmen had a clean slate to work with. A cast iron radiator was added to the room to heat the room, but as the walls in this room were not insulated – therefore, the door needed to allow for temperature control between the entry room and the living room. Ardrahan Woodworking built the bench with slots for shoes and to allow heat to circulate from the new radiator. A drawer was added for function, as well as hooks for guests’ coats. (Ardrahan also did their own staining of their own work) Murphy’s then came and installed the pre-hung door they helped me select to fit our purpose. Their craftsmen took a full day to custom build the new trim to match the adjacent door – the match of style was perfect. Finally, Murphy’s sent their stain guy to match the stain – a true artist – as the crown molding in the front entrance was a few shades darker than the living room. So to make the best match he stained the two sides of the door to match the side they are on – and did both sides dead on color! The space is now warm (temperature), open and welcoming. It is everything we hoped it would be and more! All three contractors came in on time, one budget and exceeded our expectations in craftsmanship!"
