"Very unprofessional. The painter brought his dog and put it in a crate in the middle of my dining room. Let our dog out with his. Used my washing machine without my permission because his dog peed on his drop cloth. My husband works third shift and goes to bed early at 7:30 pm. They were aware of this. On a few occasions they were at our house until 8:30 pm. Used my microwave at 7 pm to heat up his dinner without my permission and proceeded to eat while my husband needed to go to bed. Several times to fix my storm door appropriately. First put it on backward and I demanded they turn it around. Tons of excuses for everything.Paint splattered on my couch, microwave, trash can, door knobs. The owner was willing to please the customer but the workers were not. Left all their tools and paint cans throughout my house on a daily basis. No complaints about the roofers

"Yes the work was done. The two guys that came put in 7 windows and two big bay windows in one day. They did not even taken a break. They cleaned up the small pieces of scrap. Then one week later they came back and put in two new doors with the same professionalism when they did my doors."

That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. "Wes and Amy are fabulous to work with.  Wes came right out to take a look when it was convenient for me.  Not only that, but he and Amy were great in working things out with me.  I could be perfectly honest with them in what I could and could not afford but still have something that was not only cost effective, but energy efficient.  They were both very personable on the telephone as well as in person.  Since it was an odd sized opening, it had to be custom made.  Wes and Amy knew I was starting school soon and tried to work everything around my schedule.  The work was done and finished in one day.  Everything was cleaned up and Wes also replaced the custom made shelf I had above the door back into place, as well as the iron curtain rod.  My neighbors spoke with me later to tell me how professional Wes' service was as they could see the whole thing going on from their own deck.  They also told me that Wes had done everything "with care."  But being he and Amy were so professional, I wasn't even worried.  Not only that, but I received a lovely notecard from them thanking ME for letting them perform the service on my house.  Great find on Angie's list for sure!

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. The windows have definitely helped to eliminate draftiness in our home and helped to maintain a consistent temperature."

"Skip the carpenter was great.  He knows what he is doing.  He told us that he'd been a carpenter for 27 years.  However, I don't think he read the manufacturer's installation manual.  Yes he could just look at anything and he could install it because of his experience.  However, it null and void the warranty for not following the instruction.
