"Work went great. Our initial call was due to a leaking water heater and leaking shower valve. I called Legend Plumbing and Jesse came that morning. He observed that we had galvanized piping, and getting the house re-piped was on our list of things to do. Legend Plumbing gave us a 'package' bid in which we were given a significant discount on the water heater replacement, plus repairing the shower and re-piping the house and water line leading from the water meter to our house. We had to have the water shut off twice, and they worked with us to accommodate our schedule. "We received two estimates. Eloy Medina was recommended by the engineer we asked to come out to see if there was a foundation issue which needed to be repaired. It did not but he recommended Eloy and said to have it accessed from above rather than digging under the house as it was a few inches below the concrete. Eloy's estimate was the best of the two and we choose him since he was recommended by someone we know. The only negative thing I can say is that Eloy doesn't always show up. I had actually scheduled him to come out several months before and he never called to cancel and he didn't show up. We have another sink in the bathroom and the cold water was shut off so the leak was not active. I didn't make an issue of it since he did show up as scheduled when I tried him again several months later. As far as the work goes, he and his worker were knowledgeable and provided the service requested. We also hired him to reinstall the cabinet floors which had to be taken out to put in new plumbing and reinstall the carpet. They taped off the area as best they could to prevent dust from getting into the bedroom. Unfortunately part of the ceiling was pulled off when they removed the masking tape which was holding the plastic up. The drywall was repaired by someone who Eloy knows. The cost was $140 to refloat and paint the ceiling area. Eloy asked and we agreed to pay half ($70). Overall I would use him again because they are good at what they do but Eloy if you're reading this, it would be a good idea to call if you can't keep an appointment. It will make your service A+!"

"Our 6 month old roof started to leak after a rain storm. I called Maddox on a Saturday and he came out within hours to evaluate the issue. He determined the roof was not installed correctly and was in need of repair in a few areas. I decided to remove all to the decking and replace the bad sheets and reshingle. "I contacted Mr. Nabors about the drywall repair thru Angies List. He responded, came to our home and looked at the work, which consisted of repairing 3  small areas where walls had been cut open to repair plumbing. Later he called and said he had a drywall man available, and priced the job. The bid was a little higher than I expected but included the drywall repair as well as replacing the necessary trim, and since we were really tired of looking at the holes in the walls, I told John to do the job.
  Mr. Nabors had a sub-contractor come to our home and begin the work. He did the repairs over 2 days due to the time required for the drywall compound to cure. When he finished on the second day, he told me that Mr. Nabors wanted a check immediately. I was tied up with an appliance delivery, so I took a quick look at the repairs that had been done and wrote a check.. The sub contractor called a couple of days later and asked if we were satisfied with the work. I told him that he had used the wrong "foot" trim in a bathroom, and he said he'd be glad to come back and replace it. We weren't able to set a time when we were both available, so finally I bought the trim and replaced it myself.
  My wife and I also learned the hard way that when a contractor sprays on drywall texture without using tape or plastic sheeting, that there is a lot of cleanup to be done, which apparently was not part of the job Mr. Nabors bid. We spent a good amount of time cleaning drywall patching compound off of our our custom coated garage floor.  Most of the food items in the pantry also required wiping down since they had a fine coat of compound from the spraying process.
  Looking back, if I take into consideration the cleanup time and trim replacement that we did that should have been part of the job, I'd have to say I paid too much for this job.
