"Totally understood the work to be done on a 150 year old post and beam barn. Was able to develop solutions for unforseen problems that were encountered. Adhered to the original estimate with some additional work incorporated at an acceptable increase. Very pleasant and professional to deal with. Highly recommend and would hire again."

"The service was performed by one of the field managers, who did the job personally, so I didn’t have to wait all day. He was very efficient, and very professional. He also made some recommendations that could save me money down the road. His name is Jason, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. If anyone is undecided about who to hire to do any kind of work, you won’t go wrong with Mr Rooter. Will definitely be calling them for any future projects I may have.."

"Work that was completed had to be redone again within 2 years. When reached out to the company they blamed lack of liner in the chimney rather than poor craftsmanship of the worker. This was exact opposite of what was said by multiple other masons that came to inspect and give quotes."

"Jim and All Knight were great to work with. Very timely, provided multiple options on equipment replacement, talked us through the pros/cons. Very fair price. Professional and timely. Our Furnace and AC were 19 years old. We elected to replace both. Jim put a temporary fix in the AC so it would work while we waited in new equipment for a few days. Great customer service."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lancaster, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
