"This entire team was a pleasure to work with on my window replacements. The windows are a very good quality, the two gentleman who installed them were so wonderful. They were quick but did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves. Windows are not cheap, but Zen was by far the most reasonably priced option for a quality product that I found. At no point during the process did I feel pressured or rushed to make decisions but when I was ready everything moved very smoothly. Highly recommend this company if you need replacement windows or doors."

"Over the years, Empire has replaced almost every window in our house. They sell top quality products - lifetime warranty and transferable - and their installers do great work. My recent job was for three vinyl window replacements. I believe Empire has changed its phone system over the years and your first call now goes to an answering service and they pass along your call to a salesperson. The salesperson was prompt in getting back to me and scheduling a visit. They had to order the windows so there was that wait, and then the installation had to be scheduled. It would have been helpful through this process for their sales guy to give me an update and status without me asking, but all in all the product and installation are top notch and I would use Empire again without hesitation."

"After reading numerous reports on Angies List, I called several contractors but finally decided to use Smith and Rogers for my kitchen backsplash and subsequently my kitchen floor.  Initially I was only going to change my countertops and backsplash but after they were installed I really felt like the kitchen floor needed to be updated as well.  Dan was very helpful with advising me of the kitchen tile and design of tile flooring in the kitchen and entryway.  I had such a great experience working with Bill,  Dan and Phil.  They were wonderfully patient with me, answering numerous questions and helping me to understand the process of installation of backsplash and floor tile in the kitchen.  I would definitely use them again and plan to when I remodel my master bathroom.  They are great workers and very fair priced.  I recommend them to anyone who will listen.  Please see photos below:

"Dave was very professional and trustworthy. I would hire without hesitation. Dave came to give us an estimate for siding on a sun room. He told us that he was not sure if we should get siding put on this type of structure. He told us that he would look into the correct type of repair by calling other experts he worked with. He called me back to refer me to another contractor who had expertise in this type of repair. He was honest, prompt and followed up to insure that I had the right information even though the work may go elsewhere. I appreciated his helpfulness in getting our problem solved properly."

"My daughter knew of my terrible experience with my prior company and she had just gotten a new wireless system from 1st Security. She could not stop raving about how wonderful they were and how awesome the system was compared to her old one. OMG, I am sooo happy that she insisted that I have Jeremy from 1st Security come do a presentation and an assessment of my security needs. He was on time, friendly, professional and answered all of my questions without hesitation. Jeremy explained the 1st Security wireless system, showed me samples of the state of the art equipment , how easily it operated and then surveyed my house to determine the most comprehensive protection options for me. He offered me the Angie's List Special and a completely affordable package which even included the monitoring. It took less than an hour!!! Jeremy scheduled the installation and sent me all of the paperwork via email to docusign. I could not wait! In a couple of days , Larry, the master technical installer appeared at my door very early. He greeted me with a smile and immediately showed me each piece of equipment ,and where he was going to install them. He did this very quickly, despite having to climb over furniture and enter tight spaces to place the contacts. I was astounded when after he finished, he sat down and gave me a full tutorial on using the system. He showed me all of it's capabilities, and answered my many questions . I could not believe how much easier and more up to date this security system was to use than my old one. I have had many, many technicians in my home from the prior system, but absolutely none were as knowledgeable, personable, efficient or professional as Larry. He would not leave until I was comfortable, and even then advised me to call if I needed anything or had more questions. He was amazing.!!! A few days after my system was installed, I triggered a false alarm. The monitoring station called right away and did not hang up until assured that all was well. I did not have to wait or try to call them and get put on hold like with my old system. I only wish that I had more houses for them to install their system into, but since I don't, I plan to refer them to everyone that I know. 1st Security is affordable, state of the art and comprehensive. They are honest with no fine print that you have to worry about! I sincerely appreciate Jeremy and Larry and sleep so much better because of them . Thank you 1st Security!!!"

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Very professional salesman and polite efficient one man installer, the only reason I did not give an A on price is because no Angie's list discount was offered. I don't know if it was automatic but I suggest asking for one. Clean fast work, and payment not required until job completed. Keeps noise out near air conditioner, beautiful look inside and out. Can not see into basement even with lights on and the window vented screened area open much wider than expected. Dryer vent easy to install myself as we had to wait 24 hours to reinstall. Makes the whole basement look updated and finished. My cost was for 3 windows with screened openings, 1 with dryer vent and 2 window without extra details. My old windows were poorly sealed and allowed moisture to get into basement area and cause cracking to mortar around cement blocks, this will definitely help stop that along with the security and beauty of the look."
