"I called Ray's and was able to set up a time quite easily. They provided a time range for the technician to show up; mine was 3-5pm (technician showed shortly after 3). Technician's name was Rod, he was very professional and insightful. He didn't mind me lingering around, shared details on what he was doing and answered my questions. I live in a very old house and the HVAC unit is probably a bit over 20 years old. I was anticipating Rod to up-sell me on services, a new machine and tell me all the new things I needed; instead, he told me the machine is outdated, but working properly. He informed me it would be in my best interest to buy a new part for the outdoor unit (the name slips my mind at the moment), but didn't pressured me with sale pitches or scare tactics. The outdoor unit was filled with dirt and debris that had fallen into the machine over the years; Rod took the time to thoroughly clean through the machine with my hose (I mean literally, he was taking pales of dirt out). I was quite pleased with the experience and would use them again.

He was clean, courteous, and thorough in his evaluation and in his explanation to me about what happened. He also showed me how I can clear the pipe myself should it back up again to save me the cost of another house visit.
When this drain had clogged before, another company had cleared the pipe for almost $200 and tried to scare me into buying their semi-annual tune-up package because, as their tech said, and quot;this will definitely happen again.and quot; Hurm cleared the pipe for less than $100 and, when I asked if they had a semi-annual service I could buy, the tech said, and quot;you don't need to waste your money.
