"The job proceeded perfectly from appointment setting to finish. Owner (Tom) came to the house to complete estimate, advised us exactly what we needed (men in our home are mechanics which helped in evaluating service). They installed new heat & air in the attic (previously in garage), installed new ductwork, new thermostat, and a new compressor outside. Job was completed in very timely fashion. Of course they also hauled off the old equipment. We waited a couple of weeks to review to allow us to experience system at work. Today it was over 90 degrees and system is handling it beautifully. System is virtually silent. I know it's running if air is blowing on me. It's even quiet (not silent, naturally, but quiet) when standing in the attic. In other words, components were installed/fitted/tightened well. Owner and crew were knowledgeable and professional. I have already recommended them to others. We are quite pleased."

"9 hours- twice as long as expected. The old tank was impacted with over a foot of silt so they had to siphon the water out the top (not their fault). That alone put them behind by 2 hours. Then they had trouble getting the new up-to-code flu installed (their fault). But the team stuck with it and got everything in properly, instead of cutting corners or leaving it half-done and returning the next day."

"On Angie's List Advent lists a Senior Citizen discount of 10%. I am a 73 year old widow, so I look for that discount before I decide what company to use. I have used Advent before and have never had a problem with them giving me the 10% as listed. I had a very leaky shutoff valve in my bathroom that needed to be replaced so I called Advent since I have been satisfied with my experiences with them. When I mentioned the discount this time the man who did the work told me that the discount was really supposed to be only for the service call, but that he would go ahead and give it to me. If it is supposed to be only 10% off of the service call that should be clearly stated on their Angie's List page. So it the discount only for the service call or for the total bill?"

"Charlie was wonderful in troubleshooting our issue. Although the issue wasn't able to be fixed straight away due to parts having to be ordered, he provided a temporary solution that was satisfactory until parts arrived. With temperatures below 30, he was a life savior. He also helped us on the same-day appointment on a Saturday. The best part of this experience, was Charlie also solved other issues that he had noticed with the moisture senors, which saved a potential problem with the AC come summer. Oh, he also helped improve our thermostats. All and all, very pleased with ARP Heating and Air, and would highly recommend."

"We were first introduced to A-1 Professional via a home warranty company claim many years ago, but quickly realized that this company is a cut above anyone we've worked with in that industry. We now give them ALL of our hvac work, whether under warranty or not. We have had them do everything from simple repairs, to deep refurbs, furnace replacement and at multiple properties.They are extremely honest and their expertise is top notch. We trust them completely and they have never let us down in dozens of service events. Any complaints I have heard about this company generally involve a warranty company. Those complaints should be targeted at the warranty company/companies, not this contractor. Keep in mind that any contractor working through a home warranty company has their hands tied completely as it is generally the warranty company's goal to do the least amount possible to patch/repair a broken system. Yet, I have seen A-1 (time and time again) do the right thing and make the best of a challenging situation. I will continue to use this contractor, regardless of whether I have a warranty claim or it's on my own dime. In case anyone is wondering, I have no affiliation with A-1, other than being a satisfied customer of theirs for roughly 20 years. "Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."
