"Tech came out and was helped adjust dampers for 30 mins. $150 service fee. Makes suggestion to clean outside Carrier unit which took 3/4 hour. $250. Asked him why so much his response was the cleaning solution is an expensive. In my defense I should have been provided an estimation prior to cleaning. In their defense I should have asked how much it would cost. I would have sought to negotiate, which I will always attempt to do, and I feel their business practices are pretty shady. HVAC companies from experience have to be treated with a high distrust."

Jim and Carlton's proposal was the most cost effective overall - the unit/system itself and our personal ROI. It was gas as opposed to electric, the job was the least complex in terms of labor and construction, and it's functionality was worth the price."
