Small jobs welcome

"I thought he did a good job explaining what he did do but very disappointed they didn't explain that you had to pay a lot extra money to actually find out what kind of mold if any you had. The $199.00 fee they only looked for mold & tested the air quality. If they found any mold it cost a lot more to find out what type. He did say we had mold in our crawl space but not what kind, that cost more money. Overall good for what he did do."

Customers say: Quick response

"Evan responded to our inquiry very rapidly and started out with a base mold test to get a normal reading outside and inside and than at the specific spots we had seen mold at or that were wet from prior leaks. The basement tested high for molds that some mold that may aggravate the human body senses and respiratory system. We discussed a plan of action including getting our insurance company involved. Evan even presented himself personally at the time of our insurance adjusters appearance to assess the area in concern. Dri Right is very knowledgeable and straightforward on what has to be done and how to remediate the area in question. Evan did not waste anytime in getting started and working with us within the timeline of finding which items we could keep. One word of caution, in your insurance policy, make sure you have content damage recovery in the mold coverage clause. If you do not they will cover cost of remediation but not the contents and therefore you will have to work on your taxes to see if you can claim a substantial loss of contents. Dri Right Restoration was very concerned and forthright in their dealing and easy to communicate with and take your personal feeling into consideration as well as hard calls one has to make with mold remediation. The people he had working for him as well were considerate and cordial making those hard decisions easier. We highly recommend Dri Right Restoration. Evan was always upfront, quick, direct and decisive. He has a great knowledge of the business and isn't afraid to help you with his knowledge and learnings."

"The project included removing the den carpet, tile and mastic and encapsulating the subfloor. This was needed to prepare for a remodel project. The project was performed in a timely manner. The workers performed the job according to the Asbestos Removal Rules and the flooring material was disposed of properly. Questions and concerns were addressed promptly. Very satisfied with the job."

"Shirish was wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about him and his company. I had chosen him to take care of a mold issue, where a roof leak had caused water to run down my outside kitchen wall and then mold developed on the ceiling, the kitchen wall, and spread to my wall and base cabinets. From the second I met him Shirish was warm and friendly. He not only took a look at the issues at hand (that I knew of), he also discovered other issues both related to the water leak/mold (the problem was more extensive than I had believed) and other issues such as structural quirks with the house and ways to become more energy efficient (he did not charge me for the recommendations). Shirish is a doctoral-level chemical engineer, and his engineering training is useful for identifying structural issues and efficiencies that someone without engineer training would gloss over. He gave me a prompt estimate, which included replacing all of my cabinetry (rather than just the side that was mold-damaged) so that my cabinets would match. The company I ordered the cabinets from made multiple frustrating errors with my order, but Shirish and the contractors who work with him were very patient and came over multiple times to get everything installed correctly. He gave me so much unsolicited advice that was helpful and not related to the project (and therefore free). Another thing I was really impressed with was how classy and concerned Shirish was. He accompanied me to the cabinet store to reorder the cabinets in the correct size (the company had previously ordered all the wall cabinets a foot too tall). He called to see how progress was going on my roof repair (the contractor he recommended for that gave me a ridiculously good deal), and he worked with me to make sure I could get my insurance company to cover as much as possible. Many of these things were off-hours. Lastly, Shirish informed me of his plans to donate some of my cabinetry, sink, and countertops (what is salvageable) to a charity that builds houses for the underprivileged in Eastern Kentucky. Shirish is part of the charity and helps build this houses. I feel great knowing that pieces of my kitchen are going to a great cause. I have had nothing but an absolutely wonderful experience with Shirish and Allergen Control. Every penny was worth it. I highly recommend them for any job where their services are necessary."

"Robertson restoration is the way to go they are very polite professional and genuinely great people. Their prices are amazing and the quality of work is even better. I had to have part of my floor jack hammered up and a system put in to drain water from a crack in my Foundation they completed that in one day and drywall the next. I will definitely be using them again in future projects that I have in mind for my house. Absolutely great service!"

"It was a small job. They sealed the vents to the crawlspace, then, since there was already solid insulation panels on the walls, put a vapor/moisture barrier, in the form of a tarp, 4 feet wide and as long needed, completely around the crawlspace. It was then sealed to the walls with "nails" and adhesive. This seals the wood frame of the house from the 'Outside", the ground, which is the floor of the crawlspace. A 20 mil thick, quite heavy, "floor" was installed, also in the form of a tarp, It went up the walls about 3 feet and was taped to the 'tarp" on the walls, using a tape made for this application. The piers were wrapped with the same stuff and taped to seal the inside from the outside. the "floor" is also a vapor/moisture barrier, but, heavy enough to walk on if needed. This basically makes the crawlspace another room, rather than the outside. Our house is one year old and was already getting mold on the floor joists. Since the air in the crawlspace will now be heated in the winter and cooled in the summer, just like the rest of the house, the mold and cold (52 degrees) floors we experienced last winter will hopefully be eliminated. We shall see when dumb winter gets here."

"I was very pleased with the work performed by the Basement Wizard.  Everyone involved was very cordial and efficient.
They did a good job in fixing the crack on the basement wall, cleaned up thoroughly afterwards.   The true test came
when we have had many episodes of torrential rain and i finally am not getting any rain in the basement.

"Jason Crapo removed our outdoor French Doors and installed a new sliding glass door for us. He is incredibly friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. He went above and beyond when we ran into issues with the size of the door that we purchased. The quality of this install was second to none and the finished product exhibits a degree of craftsmanship that is missing these days. The door looks beautiful and changed the whole look of our dining room and patio. We highly recommend Sick Homes Solutions and if I could give more stars, I would!"

FAQs for indoor air quality testing projects in Memphis, IN

You should test your home's air quality if you or your family experience health problems like allergies or respiratory issues, as these could be linked to indoor contaminants. Also, consider testing if you're concerned about mold, radon, carbon monoxide, or if you've recently had home construction, demolition, excavation, or remodeling that could have released chemicals into your indoor air.

An indoor air quality test typically takes one to three hours to complete. After the inspection, you'll receive a detailed written report within two to 10 days. The evaluation includes comprehensive air sampling from all designated areas in your home. Your specialist will review the findings with you and provide clear guidance on steps to take if any issues are found, helping ensure your indoor environment meets health and safety standards.

A certified indoor air quality consultant or inspector is the right professional to perform your indoor air test. While some home inspectors have certifications, they often subcontract this specialized work to trained professionals with advanced tools. This expert will thoroughly evaluate air samples from every area in your home and clearly explain the findings to you. Be sure to confirm your tester's credentials before scheduling your service.
