"Our booster pump was leaking and not producing enough pressure. Hydrocurrent quickly responded to my inquiry via HomeAdvisor. Ben, the owner, came to our house the same day to take a look at the job and provided us with the quote the next day. He doesn't charge the visit fee like some other providers do. His price is competitive. We decided to hire him. Ben and his crews came to our house as scheduled. They spent the whole day and until late at night to finish the job because if they didn't we wouldn't have water to use. Ben is very knowledgeable and gave us options of what to replace the old pump. The quality of the work they did is superb. Highly recommended."

"Hector gave me a quote over the phone on Wednesday and made an appointment for the following day. He and Nathen showed up ready to work at 0830. They installed a new (1/2 hp) Sump Pump and Check Valve. The project took approximately 2.5 hours to complete. The site is now ready for the rain."

"I got this company from Angie's List and they were excellent. They added a drain out for me and it was so bad I wouldn't have water buck up, I have really bad back up. They put some drain pipe for me and they also rooted out my sewer line. They came in fast but I ended up involving the insurance for some of it because I had a flood in the bathroom which wasn't covered so I let them do that."

"The repairman was insanely late. Like almost 4 hours late. Luckily when he arrived he was very helpful and professional. He took the time to explain my system (it's extremely old) and what would be required to install a new system."

"Very professional team. Lawrence the plumber was very respectful and knowledgeable: put slippers over his shoes, explained procedures thoroughly to me, and even cleaned up my tub after unclogging my drain. Wow! He also replaced 2 shut off valves under my sink that were frozen or leaking. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pricing is higher than I expected and I think the pricing should have been discussed before any service was started. The pricing for the valves were discussed but only after my drain was already cleared. So I was already stuck with a service charge I thought was too expensive. It's always best to take the initiative and ask first before anyone is sent out. However, this company will get the job done right. The approximate cost includes the cost of the Angie's List deal."

"It worked out well, but the gentleman wasn't prepare for a couple of things.  He needed gas for the machine.  We gave him some gas just to keep things moving.  He couldn't get the drain cap off and when he did, he said he would replace it.  He ended up putting the old cap back on and it leaked."

FAQs for well pump installation and replacement projects in Newport Beach, CA

Signs that your well pressure tank requires replacement include inconsistent water pressure, your pump turning on and off frequently (known as short cycling), visible leaks around the tank, or unusual noises from your well system. Physical damage, corrosion, or a tank that's reached its seven to 10-year expected lifespan may also indicate it's time for replacement. When multiple issues arise simultaneously, replacement often proves more economical than attempting repairs.

The timeframe for professional well pressure tank replacement varies depending on your specific system and any complications that might arise during installation. Factors that can affect installation time include accessibility of your current tank, whether additional components need replacement, and the complexity of your well system. For precise timing expectations, consult with the professional handling your installation.

Attempting to replace your well pressure tank involves several potential risks, including improper pressure calibration that could damage your pump, contamination of your water supply, and physical injury from handling heavy equipment. Additionally, incorrect installation might lead to water leaks, property damage, or system inefficiency. Many manufacturers also specify that professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage, making the $125 to $200 professional installation fee a worthwhile investment for most homeowners.
