"We were led to this company based on great personal references and we needed servicing for our central ac unit. The owner Bart (who answers his own phone), responded promptly was clear and very gracious. He took the time to ask many critical questions to help with a preliminary diagnosis right away that indicated a possible issue with our original installation. Then even at a very busy time if the year when he could have just deferred, he offered to come out and verify what I had described and upon arrival he was exceptionally professional and thorough. We went through the history and situation surrounding our issue and instead of suggesting a complete replacement of our unit or even a partial but costly and inadequate repair, he shared a ton of knowledge and gave us advice on how best to proceed putting our needs first. While we did not ultimately need his service on this call, he has certainly earned my respect and will be our go to for future needs."

"I originally called my regular service company to come out and look at my ac and they told me I had a bad compressor and should replace my 7 year old system. I called Prestige for a 2nd opinion, and they said my compressor was not the problem. They also told me that my system was still under the manufacturers warranty. Jacob came out very shortly after I contacted them about repairing it and got my system cooling but made it very clear the 11 year old system needed to be replaced. "Full Disclosure - Get Mo Cool Broward offers a free year maintenance contract for posting an objective review. While I believe that this type of incentive can bias someone to a more favorable review, I will remain objective sharing both positives and concerns. Finally, I think it is showing a business savvy to encourage reviews. Kudos. Positives - (1) excellent response and ease of scheduling; (2) while the technician did not arrive nor call during the two hour schedule block, he did call 15 minutes later to say he was running late and I received another call when technician was in route; (3) tech explained how facets of a/c units work; (4) tech was personable and easy to talk to; (5) tech explained a concern with a part without high pressure to replace the part immediately; (6) he quickly address a concern I expressed by putting in a new screw to reduce rattling in the unit; (7) the tune-up price as excellent Concerns - (1) tech wasn't going to wash electronic air cleaner because "it doesn't need to be cleaned" which is shockingly incorrect and I stated that it wasn't true - I was surprised that a tech with such experience would state that; thus if I hadn't pressed it would not have been done; (2) after cleaning electronic air cleaner and moving on to another part of the tune-up, I noted that he only cleaning one of the two electronic filters and advised him of that. He quickly addressed it but still...; (3) I have a bias against a technician not using a checklist to ensure all 21 points are done; for example, I did not see him lubricate bearings which is part of the checklist (maybe I missed that); (4) tech explained why he doesn't put the gauge on the system if the system appears to be working well based on temperature and pressure readings because "it causes freon to escape and the openings are where leaks easily form". I do not know enough as to whether this is true. I do know that every tech I have ever had did tune-ups that included putting gauges on the system. (5) I pointed out that a previous tech had mentioned a problem with the blades and this tech said after a brief look that there is nothing wrong (now I don't know who to believe); (6) I have had other tune-ups done by other companies and this tune-up felt like it was the least thorough. I personally liked the tech. I pointed out 7 positives and 6 concerns (of which they might all not be valid). I am, therefore, objectively giving a B grade. In the end, let's face it, the tune-up was $29 instead of $59 or $79 or even $129 so price has to be part of the evaluation!"

"I don't usually give all 5 star reviews, but these people deserved it. I have had ducting issues with this central air unit for years. Barely any air comes out of the duct in the master bedroom, which is always warmer than the rest of the house. Other A/C companies have quoted me upwards of $1,500 to install an completely new ducting system. That seemed outrageous to me considering I only had trouble with one duct, that was literally 3 feet from the air handler. When the unit finally stopped cooling, I called Speedy Air. Mike came out the next day. The system was low on freon, as I expected. The fan motor, run capacitors, and contactor were faulty. No surprise considering the system was 8 years old and I have heard the contactor buzzing. Mike checked the system and found the leak in the evaporator that the previous technician from another company couldn't find a couple of years ago. He also looked up the warranty information on the unit and all the parts were covered. What I thought might be $1,000 or more came to less than $500. Best of all was what he found with my ducting. The problem was that the original company installed the air handler too close to the rafters on one end. That meant they had to use an abnormally small plenum, which caused the airflow problems. They were also the ones trying to get me to pay $1,500 to fix the problem they caused. Mike suggested to wait until the air handler eventually needed replacing, and change the ducting then. In the mean time he turned up the speed setting on the fan motor itself. For the first time in years we get adequate flow for the master bedroom! What else can I say. Mike ran his buns off, we had cold air within 2 hours, he solved my duct problem at no cost, all for under $500."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."
