"Chad called me on a Sunday and we agreed on a time on Monday for him to look at my clogged drains and give me a free estimate. He called and arrived earlier and provided 3 price tiers for the fix. He got right to work. Did a super neat job and invited me to try the results of his work. He worked his magic and the drains are flowing freely. He also shared some helpful tips to keep older galvanized pipes from accumulating debris. Prompt, professional, and personable, I added Chad to my contacts as he's the one I will call for any future issues."

"Inaccessible leak in second floor bathroom drain pipe. House is 88 years old, ended up replacing several corroded galvanized pipes. Lee called right away and we set up an appointment for him to assess the problem. He arrived on time and immediately went to work. Since the galvanized pipes were so corroded and we decided to have them replaced, the job ended up being more work than anticipated. But Lee and his assistant took care of it, even though it required several hours the next day to finish the work. They did a great job. They were very professional, polite and did an excellent job cleaning up (very appreciated!!!) . We have already recommended Wallingford plumbing to a friend and we will definitely use them again."

"The natural gas furnace ignitor a burned out. I called at 2 AM in the morning they called me at 7 AM back and already scheduled an appointment. The appointment was moved up and the repair man was here before noon! Remarkable service, helpfulness, responsiveness, and the service provider that came to my house was an absolute gentleman and very knowledgeable. I wish all companies provided the same level of skill and service and professionalism!"

"We were very pleased from the beginning presentation to the gas line install and all the way through to the furnace and air conditioning install. This was all accomplished during the very cold and snowy weather. The owner even called me on his vacation to ensure that everything was going according to our expectations. My wife and I would strongly recommend this company.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Painesville, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
