"I hired Adrian to replace tile floors and install a new toilet, and he did a wonderful job. He and Pat were punctual, worked efficiently, were courteous, and showed a passion and attention to detail that I appreciated. Adrian suggested tile layouts that I hadn't considered and liked, and handled setbacks in stride, keeping the timeline: demolition was complicated by a hidden layer of vinyl flooring, and the toilet that I wanted to install was damaged during shipment. I would definitely recommend First Choice Grout and Tile."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"Came out to assess damage at appointed time. Gave an accurate estimate of materials required and completed the job within the estimated time. The level of difficulty came from the height of the job (second story) and in not so pleasant weather conditions. Repairs were done professionally and efficiently. The repaired area looks great. Can't tell that there was ever a problem. Even though they came out of Poulsbo and I live in Olympia, they were on time and pleasant to work with. I would gladly work with this company again and recommend their services.

"Everything went very well, and we were happy with the quality of the work. Furthermore, the two men arrived on time and acted professionally while completing the work, and the lady I dealt with on the phone was very gracious and accommodating. The only issue was that they didn't have enough time to install a latch that my husband had purchased for the gate."

"Colton came out several times to scope out the project details and provide a bid, both with and without cabinets included. After I gathered seven, we decided to hire Carlstrom Construction/Kitchen Visions for the whole job with the exception of the countertop fabrication and install (done through a Costco deal with another company). I had a tight timeline to meet so we worked quickly to establish decisions on cabinetry and a start date.
After the cabinets were built in Sean's shop, Sean and Jerry came out to do the remodel in our kitchen. The work went quickly and efficiently on the days when they had everything they needed. They were flexible and accommodating as I had questions and concerns. Thoughtfulness and attention to detail in their workmanship are noticeable in the finished work. I also especially appreciated it when Jerry needed to pop upstairs to check on some connected plumbing and took the care to remove his shoes since we're a no-shoes household. That, along with Sean's ideas and feedback as we spoke during the course of the project displayed their care and experience in delivering great results.
Some delays on materials (cabinet fronts, flooring) came up but they still completed the work within a day of when we needed the kitchen to be completed. There were also a few surprises (lighting didn't quite illuminate the new peninsula so I hired an electrician to put in pendants this week, some cabinets had less usable space than we expected) All things considered, this project went relatively smoothly. We ran several thousand over budget, but it was completed well. Even with some hiccups from the counter top installation delay and flooring delays, they were able to work swiftly to get everything done. At one point, we realized our large stand mixer wouldn't fit on the new counters because of the valance to accommodate under-cabinet lights or on any of the new slide-out pantry shelves. Sean was very flexible about lowering the drawer guides a few inches even though it was already in so we appreciated it.
It's only been a week now, but we're definitely enjoying our new kitchen. Some adhesive smells are still lingering so they're continuing to be aired out and I'm still finding sawdust film on cabinet surfaces (and everywhere in the garage), but we're otherwise quite happy with the completion of our kitchen. As I've been gradually reorganizing the space in the kitchen, I actually found that a few more shelves would be helpful. When I mentioned this to Sean on a short visit to tie up loose logistical ends, he even offered to make the two shelves for me. Overall, they are focused on making sure we got what we needed for the kitchen and making sure we're satisfied.
Overall, Carlstrom Construction does great work are a pleasure to work with for any of your remodeling needs. We will definitely keep them in mind for any major remodel projects we would like to tackle in the future.

"The owner, Tatyana, came to see the job, she was friendly and professional and gave a very reasonable bid for replacing the panes and the balancers, and for outside washing of all our windows, which we agreed on. She came later with a contract to sign, and I paid half of the contract. After the glass arrived, she came and installed it. She was very quick and competent, and it all looked great when she was done. We were very pleased and would recommend them."

"Excellent! Perry diagnosed the problem right away (we had already had other contractors out to "work" on the problem but they didn't solve it). Had 2 guys, who were very polite and professional, out to complete the work in one day. The guys showed up early(good), got to work, cleaned up and moved out."

"Existing roof was less than 12 years old and looked good but leaked. Upon removal it was noted that the previous roofers had not installed the kitchen thru roof fan vent. The accumulated moisture had rotted the roof joists, plywood sheeting and caused black mold to grow on the ceiling insulation. This was far above the scope of work that had been expected or what the bid was based on. In reality almost all of the trusses had to be replaced on half the roof and several more on the other half. All of the plywood on the entire roof required replacing. In addition it was pointed out that the roof had never been properly vented even at initial manufacture so the roof was retrofitted to vent as it should have been in the first place. A final consideration was that the roof is considered to be a substandard pitch for most roofing products. Shingles would work but not as well as other applications. This was all presented in short order by Harry (company co-owner) while standing on the roof looking at the devastation. We quickly agreed to a plan and repair work began immediately. Harry's knowledge of roofing systems enabled him to make recommendations that exceeded my personal knowledge and allowed the project to proceed with virtually no pause. This is an important point as work began around the 1st of February and we had a period of clear weather that immediately preceded the two feet of snow that we received in the next couple of weeks. There is no doubt in my mind that if these trusses had not been replaced a good portion of the roof and snow would have ended up in the kitchen. Square Solutions quickly adapted to changed requirements and in my mind saved the house from a disaster. Because of the joists being replaced, we also replaced the gutters. Square Solutions is a one stop shopping contractor for virtually any repair. They even did some interior repair work that was a result of the scope of work being performed. The entire installation was very professional. The work crew was able to complete the venting upgrades, joist replacement and hot roof installation making the house watertight before the snow started. They did a masterful job. They worked hard and were friendly and professional. The clean-up job was slowed down by the snow but was outstanding. Harry inspected the work and made sure that all was done to his meticulous standards. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone needing a new roof, gutters or any other home repairs."
