"It was amazing from start to finish. We had Brian Sheehe out to give an estimate for several new windows and doors. No pressure, and he listened to what we wanted and needed. Choice was the only company of the three places we contacted who would widen the front door, and Choice came in with the lowest estimate at around $5000. They also were the only ones who would allow me to paint my new doors without voiding the warranty. They came out with a crew of at least 4 people on a day when snow was expected in the afternoon, and they called in an extra person to finish all the work in a little more than half a day before the snow came. I'm still not exactly sure how they installed the new header and front door, new trim molding, patched the the drywall above the front door, mudded, and sanded it smooth all within a half a day but they did and all I needed to do was touch up the paint in that area - you cannot even tell where the edges are, it was that smooth. Everything has continued to work great over the last 4 years since installation in Feb 2016. It was so great to work with people who cared about my house like I do, and I will be calling them again with future projects."

"We highly recommend JA Drywall. They are the best contractors we have used in the South Jersey area! We used them for a large job to frame, drywall, spackle and trim the attic plus fit doors for storage spaces. They were response to our request for a quote, provided a clear break-down so we had full transparency of the costs and could select the amount of work we wanted to do at this time. Juan and Isaias were very friendly but professional. Isaias was onsite through the framing, drywall, trim work and door installation. Juan checked in with us regularly and visited to check the progress and quality of the work. They communicated really well - from arranging arrival times in the morning, and during the work to inform us about the progress of the project and to ask if any adjustments were required. They are extremely customer focussed and wanted to ensure we were happy at every stage of the work. They took a lot of care and went above and beyond to protect the wood floors and walls from damage when they had to bring the drywall through the house to the attic. During the job they were very tidy and cleaned up before they left every evening. "Dan and his son Tyler did an outstanding job. The basement was broken up in separate spaces including a 22' by 7' area which will double as a plant room during the winter time. He installed a counter and sink in this space and added a floor to ceiling built in bookshelf. To close off this area from the main space, he also installed a barn door which looks great. In the main area the work was done to perfection. The bathroom is a little jewel and we could not be happier with the work that was done. Dan and Tyler also went above and beyond when they moved furniture from the main floor to the basement and also put up additional shelves for us. I told Dan to pencil us in for the same time next year to update our main bathroom!"

"There were a lot of issues initially and I contacted Angie’s List and you were able to help us resolve it. What happened was that I got the deal, I wanted my daughter to use it because the kind of windows that they were going to install weren’t appropriate for my house and I felt that my daughter can profit from that under the circumstances better than I could. So she took the deal and it was not so good initially because apartments were not kept but it turned out fine because they got the windows done and they were pleased with them. They honored the price for two windows. The problem was with scheduling and that sort of thing. The issue was not really honoring the commitment to come at a certain time or to get the work done by a certain time. They did a good job of installation once they did it. I only had one contact with them and I wasn’t happy with that because he wanted to do a complete inspection of the house and I was focused on the windows not so much so on insulation. So I knew that wasn’t good for me and I wasn’t happy with that interaction but here again, in all fairness my daughter was satisfied with the interaction that she had."

"When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"Jeremy was very responsive to the initial phone calls. Scheduled an in home consult quickly and gave a thorough presentation of their systems and capabilities. We scheduled the install a few days later for our system. Larry was helpful and professional. We has a couple of hiccups, which were resolved. We also decided to add security cameras and has a little trouble scheduling that install. Once installed all is working well. We’re very happy with the products and service."
