"The company installed a complete system on a total remodel project in a prestigious area of Pittsburgh and performed as expected. The house was 110 years old and some adjustments had to be made but you can work with these guys"

"I had this company come in for a quote, and couldn't have been happier. They provide plumbing and air/heat install and repair. I had my furnace replaced and a new hot water tank installed. Prices were wonderful in comparison and they only used top quality products (carrier furnace). Jason and John are very personable and stand by the work they do. I felt no pressure to purchase or use them, but they provided honest input and opinions. I am very pleased I decided to go with Built Right Concepts. I highly recommend giving them a look!"

"We found Giant Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling here on Angie's List.  Doug scheduled a convenient time with us to replace our water heater.  He gave us a price ahead of time for his services and did not upcharge for anything.  He arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable, as well as friendly.  He was very detailed in explaining everything and even gave advice on other plumbing topics where we had concerns.  The expense of our particular water heater was more than the average electric or gas water heater because we had the power vent model.  Our old water heater was a State brand and we were very satisfied as it lasted us for 12 years, and he replaced it with a new State model, so we were very satisfied with that as well.
We found out he also services furnaces and air conditioning so we will also request his services for them when we need them because we feel he is reliable, knowledgeable and professional.  We would recommend him to anyone looking for the services he provides.

"The old air conditioner had finally died and needed to be replaced. The quoted price was right on the average for such a job. Not only did they get a quote to me quickly, they were able to complete the job before some others could even get me a quote. They did excellent work making the install tighter and neater than the old unit. I think the basement was cleaner after they left than it was when they started. Very happy!"

"He was very courteous and accomodating. Picked up my computer from my home and returned it to me. He even helped me later with another issue via text message and remote access--I just had to replace my mouse and keyboard.  I will definitely use his services again, unfortunately because I am having some trouble with a laptop now.

"It went well. Although Collin Bucci felt the faucet unit was acceptable after the repair, I decided to replace it. After Collin reviewed the types of available units, I scheduled an appointment for the next week. What I really appreciated was that Collin brought three different units for me to inspect before the installation. I knew exactly what I was getting before it was installed."

"Lets start that I never had any duct work cleaning done before.. I dont know what is required for this service..
The service men where on time & did a walk thru.. Basicly for a duct work count.. we went over the additional cost of cleaning addt'n. ducts & Blower which was not included in pre-contract.. I agreed to additional charges.
To my best knowledge work was completed on a timely fashion and completed to set contract.
Everything seemed to go fine. but also not sure what to look for before and after work was completed..
After cleaning up the serviceman showed me the duct work that had to be cut thru for access. Not the cleanest cut but it was satisfactory..
My only concern was the additional drill holes (2) that were in the duct work, basically not sure if they were required and/or nessisary..
Also i inspected my furnace & realized that the kill switch (off/on furnace cover switch) was still covered with furnace tape.
i assuming just a over sight.. I just removed it..
But the main disappointment was as i was replacing one of air ducts in the master bedroom. That I came across that this duct was never cleaned. it was discusting dirty & dusty. So just used my owned shop vac to clean it..

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Southwest, PA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
