"I am writing another high recommendation for Lakeway AC and Heating because we just had another great experience with them. I came home Friday at 2 PM to discover that the upstairs was hot. I called Lakeway AC and Heating to get some relief. They said, “Mr. Fowler, I’ll have a tech call you as soon as I can”. In two minutes Miguel call me and said he could be here in five minutes. Miguel showed up and took all of 15 minutes to find the problem. He went to the shop found the part, came back, installed it and cool air came out the vents. If you need AC or Heating professionals I highly recommend Lakeway AC and Heating. They are local and they are fast!"

We had a new unit installed in May of 2011, after the wonderful experience we had with Sam we knew immediately who we would call for our system when we had to rebuild our home. "Butch called back right away. Came out in a timely fashion. Got one unit working. Then he said the main board was malfunctioning on the downstairs unit and would have to be replaced. It would cost 1200 or 1300. But if we spent a little extra on a service contract he would wave the trip fee and it would be 1100 something. Okay. We did that. It was too late for him to get the board that day so he came out the next day to install the board. But the unit still didn't come on. He said the thermostat was bad and it would we 300 to 500 to replace the thermostat depending on what we wanted. My husband told him we could do that ourselves. Just by pass it and get the unit working. Then he came down and said that the blower motor was out and it would be 1800 to replace the blower motor or 2400 to just replace the whole unit and then we'd be under warranty again. I told them I wanted a second opinion before we did that. I called Ed & Sons they came out, confirmed that we did need a new thermostat. And said they could rebuild the blower motor for around 100$. I ordered two new thermostats for 300 for both of them and my husband installed the thermostats. The work they did was fine. But I felt like they were more of the school of let's just replace parts until it works or we can sell them a new unit. Rather than what can we fix."

"Replacing these parts probably saved me an ultra hot ;night in Texas this summer or next. You can do this yourself, but you can also get the daylights shocked out of you if you don't discharge the capcitor and get the wires right. Worth it.

I would appreciate being shown the readings on the capacitor and the "gum" on the relays. I believe they were there, but a top professional service would have offered to show the parts. It turns out I have a EE degree, so maybe I am an outlier in this.

Patti, was friendly, quick to respond to requests, overall great customer rep for the company...made selecting Pro Star as our provider very easy.  The tech, Robert was friendly, courteous, helpful, conscience and explained in detail what he was going to do before he did it when replacing the RO system.  They didn't as many companies will do try to upsell anything and as any good tech he also viewed our water softener was a very old one (over 17 years old, not even in market any longer) and simply offered a brochure of their systems, highlighting some of the advantages to include their service whenever we might need it.  There was no arm twisting or hard sells involved from either Patti or Robert. 

After review and further discussions, we decided to go with their system, Puronics and added the water softener to the contract.  As I always do, I asked for better pricing and since we were buying both a water softener and RO system...they were more than accommodating, giving us a better deal than I even expected.  A+ in my book.

"Awesome! I call to have my sump pump replace/repaired, I know the old one was not working properly. John looked at it an told me what was needed. Replaced that OLD sump pump cleaned out the trash in the well of the sump pump also. Installed the new one for a good price, he quoted me first before he started the job. I will call him again.
