"It finally came time for us to replace two old wooden garage doors. First I did some research on garage doors in general. Lots of info on the Internet. Then I did extensive research on quality garage door contractors in my area. Used Yelp and other sources. Came up with a list of five quality candidates and sent details to each for bids. Eliminated 3 in relatively short order for various reasons. Came down to two candidates for the same two door options (either a Clopay or a CHI) -- Academy and another contractor. I focused on all decisioning points -- service, price, features, warranty, etc. Both were very close on price so that was not a discriminating factor. However, all the other factors came out very much in favor of Academy. Our sales contact, Dave McLaughlin was superb. Knowledgeable, responsive, helpful. The two managers at HQ -- John and Alan -- also very professional and responsive. So I did the order with Academy and selected the Clopay doors. Doors arrived in the time period they said. Scheduled the install. Jim and Coach (two HUGE guys!) showed up and did the install. They were even able to deal with the fact that my floor was off level just a shade. Made the doors fit well. Thanks guys! So far so good! Love the new doors! SO much better than the old ones in every way. Now I have to fix up my house b/c the garage doors are now the best part!"

"The sales rep was professional, punctual, and offered a great price for Simonton windows. If you do your research you'll find that Simonton offers a great product that they really stand behind, however the styling may be a little old and the frame bulkier than the competition. However, look at their ratings in JD power, Consumer Reports magazine, and internet reviews- its virtually bulletproof. However, we were a little disappointed in the salesperson's knowledge of the install process, so even though the price was great we didn't select Supreme Windows in the end. The sales rep was professional and refrained from high-pressure sales tactics. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend.

"We are selling our home and the buyer's inspection said that our windows would not hold open. I called William Boston and he was very helpful on the phone and even though he was very busy he asked one of his workers to come out to the house to see what needed to be done. His evaluation was that when the windows were cleaned they were not replaced properly. He took each window out and realigned them so that now they work well and the windows stay in place when opened. I want to thank him for his responsiveness and his ability to do the necessary repairs.

The door latch was loose and extremely hard to open. He removed the latch, assessed the problem and had it in working order in a very short time.
