Thomas and his assistant arrived on time and did a fantastic job; very neat, clean and the result is exceptional . They replaced the damaged walls in my long hallway and bedroom and in a few other small areas with 3 coats plaster, primer and painted entire area. This was a 2 day job and since the job was finished sooner than expected and he had the time, he agreed to paint the interior of the garage which really needed a thorough cleaning. "Workers arrived on time as scheduled. We had a little snafu with the building rules; my building requires that the hallway from the elevator to the apartment door be covered with masonite.  They were not prepared for this, and providing this service cost an additional $275.  So if anyone else is doing this in manhattan, I recommend you check with your building codes and make sure everything is worked out ahead of time so that there are no surprise extra costs.
The guys were very courteous and efficient.  The floors look beautiful, and there is minimal dust.  Overall, I am quite happy.  I would recommend them.

"PERFECT! PERFECT! AND MORE PERFECT!
 We found this place called Trust Builders, LLC, on Angie's List  (Of Course), and James (people call him Jim) had answered the phone. I called him up on the phone letting him know what the situation was, and how bad it was. Jim did a perfect job with everything that he did here. First of all, this is a very hard working man. I have never seen anyone take out LARGE portions of walls apart, so meticulously, so perfectly neat and with precision skill. The wall sections that were damaged were removed and discarded. Jim gets right down there in the wall, and takes out ALL of the dangerous BLACK MOLD by removing that harmful horror that we lived with for so many years. He was working so vigorously and managed to vacuum out everything that was such a difficult and tedious job.
Jim worked for many hours on his first day at the house, RE-building the beams that rotted out on the first wall that needed work. Everything to perfection. The next and last visit to work here, was just as industrious and he just works his heart out. This guy worked so hard, we felt that he was really true to his word. He gave us a written estimate of EXACTLY what work needed to be done, and to the mark, we paid that exact price. In fact, the verbal price we were quoted at the beginning was higher than what we actually paid, due to the fact that the second wall was not as rotted as the first, and required less work. Jim told us that himself, he didn't mince words or take extra because it didn't require as much work as the first wall. Very Honest, Jim let us know right away, there would be a REDUCTION in our estimate.

I'll tell you something, this guy puts hard work, sweat and strength into his work. Jim KNOWS this business. He acts like a  PROFESSIONAL throughout, he was prompt, and got started almost immediately. He even ran out to get the materials after he was here, showed us receipts for all he purchased, and even left us the extra materials!   I would ABSOLUTELY hire Jim again on the spot. All I can say is, a job like this takes a lot of precision. If a contractor doesn't do the work correctly, harsh chemical black rot irritants could become airborne. He was very careful and we got kicked out of the room to the upstairs (nicely) for our safety. He cleaned every bit of the areas that were worked on, that the area didn't even seem like anyone worked there. Only that it looked so much better. Great Job. If you know anything about carpentry, if it isn't done right, it becomes a real big problem.  The price that we received for all of this work was unbelievably reasonable. VERY REASONABLE FOR ALL OF THE WORK THAT WAS REQUIRED OF THIS JOB. Friendly, Professional, Business - Like, and knows the business. Is there ANY reason to use anyone else? I recommend Jim for this type of work. You wouldn't believe all of the other beautiful woodwork he does. I've seen it in pictures.  Everything as promised here both in work detail and in price.  WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY? AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED. Hire again?  ANYTIME!  YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT  : )

"Rob has previously remodeled my kitchen, living and dining rooms, and front hallway. He has been there for me on many other smaller projects. This time, he installed a new fiberglass front door with a large oval glass. It needed to be special ordered because it was a non-standard size. After a few adjustments, it slipped snugly into the door opening. I decided to have the outside of the door factory finished and inside to be primed to be painted to match the hallway. I am very with the way the door looks from both the outside and inside."

"We had a leaky skylight over the bed and Tom came out that same day and fixed it! He recommended that we need to replace it since it is pretty old. The day of installation they were very punctual and did a great job! Cleaned up everything after. We will definitely use them again for our other skylights!"

"Initial person was too chatty, too much information, overwhelming. Later more succinct. Workers who did test & insulation (blower door test to reveal air leaks). Workmen were sufficient and polite. Two years later discovered they had caulked Marvin windows which should NOT be caulked in order to wash them w/ moveable parts. It cost me $175 to have them repaired or caulking removed. This was done & I submitted a bill 11/13/14 and have not been reimbursed yet. Have called 2x's to remind, last time man said he thought it was done and he would see about it. That was 3 weeks ago the last time and 7 weeks from the first reminder. It is now 2/24/15."

"These guys were great! We're in a really tough spot with some damage to our front porch, although we thought it was only on the surface once they've removed some of the cinder blocks they showed us how the extent of the damage really went all the way to the base of our house! I feel like someone else would have just tried to patch this up and move along and we would have dealt with severe damage years later. These guys got to the root of the problem knocked it out of the park and made the place look amazing! could not be happier with the way things went. they know what they're talking about and gave us several different options on how to fix it one being the right way and the cheapest and then another way that would be a little bit more but would make the place look fantastic I liked the fact that they gave us two options to choose from rather than just imposing their will on our decision."
