"Metamora Water Service installed a new 180' well and home water supply system. Our yard access and slop made it a challenging project. However, Metamora Water Service made it look easy. Top quality equipment and personnel for the job. I highly recommend this company if you need a new well or a repair to an existing well."

"I had a well pump that needed to be replaced, but was rusted in and after two weeks of work from Shawn's employees the pump could not be removed. With their help was able to hire a company capable of digging new well in confined space and getting all the proper paperwork started. I was very please with all employees that I was in contact with and appreciate their help and understanding of my lack of knowledge. Good work everyone."

"Great experience. Realized at 6 AM that our sump pump needed replacing. Called just after 7, they had their first guy come right over. Said he would be there between 8:30 and 9, and he was there before 8:30. He was done before 9. Great experience."

"Called on Wednesday 08/17/20 talked with owner Mr. Kamienski. He explained what had to be done and gave me his price over the phone. Said he could come out to do the repairs on Saturday 08/20/20 and was there right on time (actually he was early). When he and his wife arrived they both got right to work. He explained why and what he was doing as they worked. Came prepared to do the job and worked steady until it was completed. Also they were very through in their cleanup. They work very well as a team , each knowing they role in the process. We have had a few heavy rains since the repairs and have had no issues with water leakage. I would not hesitate to hire them again."

"I hired Jim Olsen plumbing to install my sub pump. I was impressed with Mike’s professionalism I hired them to install 3 toilets. Further Mike and his father Jim also did additional plumbing work to repair a back flow issue. They’re great, they’re knowledgeable and they truly care about the customer’s satisfaction. If you need a plumber, call them first."

FAQs for well pump installation and replacement projects in West Bloomfield, MI

Signs that your well pressure tank requires replacement include inconsistent water pressure, your pump turning on and off frequently (known as short cycling), visible leaks around the tank, or unusual noises from your well system. Physical damage, corrosion, or a tank that's reached its seven to 10-year expected lifespan may also indicate it's time for replacement. When multiple issues arise simultaneously, replacement often proves more economical than attempting repairs.

The timeframe for professional well pressure tank replacement varies depending on your specific system and any complications that might arise during installation. Factors that can affect installation time include accessibility of your current tank, whether additional components need replacement, and the complexity of your well system. For precise timing expectations, consult with the professional handling your installation.

Attempting to replace your well pressure tank involves several potential risks, including improper pressure calibration that could damage your pump, contamination of your water supply, and physical injury from handling heavy equipment. Additionally, incorrect installation might lead to water leaks, property damage, or system inefficiency. Many manufacturers also specify that professional installation is required to maintain warranty coverage, making the $125 to $200 professional installation fee a worthwhile investment for most homeowners.
