"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. "This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"Jason showed up on time.  He worked quickly and efficiently and with great effort.  He communicated well, including what the price would be up front.  The problem was much more complicated than originally thought, and he might have gone slightly over the one-hour minimum charge, but he only charged me for one hour.  I would recommend them.  I sometimes get a gut feeling I am not getting my money's worth when having repairs done at the house, but this was NOT the case with SOS.  I felt like I was being treated very fairly, and dealt with honestly.

"The first team that came out to fix the issue was very punctual arriving before the time they stated. They were friendly and professional. The issue seemed fixed until I noticed the leak was still occurring, though I wasn't sure if it was the same issue or a new one from the same area. I called McQuillan Bros and they were able to send a plumber (Matt who happened to be one of the co-owners). Matt was vert apologetic the problem wasn't resolved the first time and was dedicated to ensure the issue was resolved. He tested everything and went above and beyond in fixing another minor leak in the bathroom. Matt was very genuine and friendly. I would recommend him and this company to anyone. The dedicated service and follow through is what saved this review!"
