Although I typically prefer paying by the job instead of by the hour, Bob was quite focused on his work and use of time. "When our roof began leaking into our kitchen, I called John Tartaglione, owner JMS Partners, and he came and inspected the problem within 24 hours.  During his inspection, he discovered that the old roof had several areas where the water had an opportunity to penetrate into the interior.  As we were in the transition between Winter and Spring and we were experiencing an extremely wet period, the roof could not be repaired at that time due to the temperature fluctuations causing freezing and thawing between night and day.  John took several temporary measures to control the leaks until the weather broke and the permanent repairs could be made.
As the weather became warmer, John determined that water had leaked onto the plastic vapor barrier above the ceiling and that it had been happening for a long time, resulting in the decay of beams around the skylight in the kitchen.  The decision was made to remove the skylight and replace the entire roof with rubber membrane material.  
In mid-April, the work began by removing the roofing material and both skylights on the roof.  During the process, it was discovered that some of the plywood roof decking, shingles on the adjacent exterior wall and trim boards had to be replaced along with the decayed beams.   On the interior rafters mold had begun to develop, which needed to be addressed before the repairs to the interior ceiling could be completed.  After the mold was remedied and the wood was dry, the interior ceiling was repaired and a light was installed to supplement the remaining ceiling lights due to the loss of the natural light from the skylight. 
The roof now consists of a base of 3" insulated board and a rubber membrane.  This roof not only has keep us dry but we have noticed a difference in the warmth of the kitchen and family room during the past winter.
After the job was completed, periodically John would follow up to be sure that we were satisfied.
I will continue to recommend JMS Partners to anyone who needs to have a very competent contractor.

I already had the lock and deadbolt set, but it took a bit of chiselling on both the door and the frame to get it to fit properly, and he did a very neat job and was great about explaining the setup both to me and to my tenants, given the lock type was somewhat different than the busted one he removed. I'll gladly hire him again next time something like this comes up - firstrate service at a very reasonable price!"

"The job is about replacing 6 old windows with Harvey vinyl and two interior doors. David is very responsive. He gave me a quote immediately. The whole process is actually quite smooth. They arrive on time, clean and vacuum all the wastes. I can feel they are very professional. They finish all the work in one morning including caulking which is amazing. However, they seems to be in rush. Although overall quality is ok, I find some details which are not well taken care of. For example, the frame around the door is not placed even. The caulking is not thorough. I can still see the crack. I plan to paint by myself to make them look better. Based on their professionalism, they can do better. Next time, I will ask them to slow down. Still want to hire them for the basement remodeling."

"John Carroll and his son John did an excellent job with repairs done to my 2 1/2 family house.  John was easy to work with and any time I needed to contact him, he quickly responded.  Pricing was on point.
     After the harsh winter and high winds, a large section of vinyl siding on the back of my house blew off.  Replacement siding was perfectly matched and seamlessly blends.  The siding on the front porch was buckling due to improper installation and it now looks great.
     Inside of the house three locksets were installed to replace original door closures in my 1895 home.  Three new windows were installed and now function beautifully.
