My furnace recently stopped firing and heating right during a cold snap that started on 11/16/2022. I tried finding an HVAC service shop and landed on ServiceCart. The technician came out on Friday and within minutes found the problem with the furnace. Usually it takes most technicians some time to figure things out but in the case of Sia Salehi, the ServiceCart tech, it was but 5mins. Sia was great, he ordered the part and let me know that it wouldnt be in until Monday and advised to place space heaters in different parts of the house with the temps dropping that weekend. Sia returned promptly on Monday after texting me to let me know and within 5 minutes replaced the part, fired up the furnace, made sure all was running to spec and completed the work, all under 30mins. I'm definitely keeping ServiceCart on speed dial and can't thank Sia Salehi enough for his professionalism and promptness. thank you !!

I have had awful experiences with Service Cart. On September 9, 2021, they installed an HVAC system for me. I paid them almost $6,000. The HVAC later died near the end of June 2022. Less than 1 year after installation, the new compressor died! That is crazy! It was later discovered, via the second opinion, when I paid another HVAC company to inspect the Service Cart work, that Service Cart failed to install a filter dryer. I have the inspection in writing! It was suggested that Service Cart was at least 80% to blame for my HVAC compressor breaking down prematurely. I was told a filter drier is an essential part, and an HVAC system should have a filter drier, according to the second opinion. I also verified this by conducting my own research. It is a protective part that extends the life of an HVAC system. It is kind of like the oil filter on a car. The service cart was negligent, and they left me with no central air for almost 4 weeks in the middle of summer!!! I blame them. This issue also delayed putting my condo on the housing market, which I could not do with a broken HVAC system. Also, when Service Cart installed my HVAC in 2021, they damaged my home. Their technician burned my wall and burned my hardwood floor. I have photographic evidence of the damage!! I have no idea how Service Cart averages about a 5-star rating. They did not do 5-star work for me!! Maybe they are fake reviews? I got the impression Service Cart is greedy, deceptive, and cheap. I have filed complaints against Service Cart with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), and Thumbtack Support dispute center. The process is ongoing. I am fed up with service cart games and arrogant attitudes. I actually was merciful last year and did not leave them a review. It is so disappointing that Service Cart did not learn from its mistakes last year. But, recent events have forced my hand. I wish them the best, and I pray they learn how to behave.

Response from Company:

Mr. Stover, while it is unfortunate that you feel this way, we have made every effort to complete all agreed upon work and demands you may have had. Our 250 verified reviews show that your perception of our company is not in fact how we operate. In regards to your floor damage, we not only repaired your 16 year old floor that had minor marking, we also reimbursed you a significant amount of money for your trouble. We rushed to your home when you had a manufacturer?s warranty part replacement need and handled everything for you with no additional costs. While you waited for the warranty replacement to arrive, we supplied you with portable AC to keep you comfortable. Despite your ongoing threats and aggressive behavior towards our technicians and office staff, we still rushed to your home yet again when you had an issue that was completely unrelated to the original condenser replacement we completed for you. We again provided service free of charge to try to assist you. In addition to everything previously mentioned, Thumbtack Support Dispute Center has actually blocked you from contacting us due to your ongoing harassment and extortion attempts. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and on the sale of your home.

I'm very happy with the quality and price from Service Cart. Last week the compressor died in the outdoor unit for my heat pump so I got quotes for replacement of the entire outside unit. I called around and got a high quote from one company and a quote almost half that price from the second company and an even lower one from Service Cart where I got he contact information from a NextDoor post. The next day a manager called from the second company and said the guy who quoted me was fired for giving too many quotes that low and the new price would be just short of the price the first company quoted. Service Cart's quote was so low that it seemed too good to be true. I was skeptical it could be done in a competent manner, maybe the outside unit would be a knockoff brand, or I would be asked for more money somewhere along the line. Si and Mauricio showed up two days later and were pleasant and knowledgable. The unit installed was in fact a high-end unit from my HVAC brand and my entire system has been functioning properly for a week. The overhead charged by the large firms is staggering and I'm so happy I gave Service Cart a chance. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Tech was detail oriented, thorough, and spoke in laymanâ s terms. Did not try to upsell but instead rendered professional opinion of what to expect and options based on priorities that were legit.

Alex was by far the best HVAC tech I met out of four others I called. He spoke honestly and fairly about his professional opinion. He was completely knowledgeable about all things HVAC and had my best interest at heart. You won’t go wrong with this outstanding company and technician.

Response from Company:

Thank you for your positive feedback! Glad that we can help.

The automated text message was great and it said a specific time. The scheduler confirmed the specific time. The tech was 1h30 minutes late saying it is a The tech lead is a 4-hour window. The tech was unable to do any of the ecobee thermostat installations despite multiple conversations ahead of time. In the end, I wound up talking to the ecobee company to come up with a workable solution given the complexity of my heat and ac systems. I had to hire someone else though. While he did suggest a good alternative solution - I felt like he did not trust that I understood given that I was a woman. I do live alone but did not appreciate him asking me if I wanted to check with my family.

Response from Company:

We appreciate your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your service. Service Cart, LLC makes it a priority to address any issues being brought to us. The visit was scheduled as a free consultation for the customer. When scheduling a technician, we provide each customer with a four-hour window. Once scheduled the customer receives a text of the appointment time. The assigned time provided was from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The technician arrived within the time given at 11:30 am. The technician went over different alternative locations to install the thermostat however the customer could not decide where she wanted it done. The wiring that ran to the unit was unusual so our technician took the time and contacted Ecobee directly (The Ecobee thermostat was provided by the customer). The technician was placed on hold for a half-hour with Ecobee with no response. The customer told the technician that she needed more time to determine which location to place the thermostat, at this point the technician left after being at a location for over an hour and a half. There was no charge for the visit as this was a courtesy call. We did not receive a follow-up from the customer. Thank you, Service Cart, LLC Management.
