"Wow! Amazing service. I must've called 8 different places in a panic trying to get the brick mounts which hold the mantel removed from my old fireplace so the surface could be prepped for a new TV. Seemed like an easy task (I thought), but it was a little more meticulous than I thought. I called this team and they arrived same day! Incredible customer service and expertise. Not only did they return the day after providing an estimate and remove the brick mounts, they actually re-fabricated the brick to make the holes disappear! This team knows their stuff!! I was so impressed that in the Spring I'd like them to come and do some masonry work for me. Highly recommend. They installed a gasline that was done a very professional way, burying the line underground. Stephen and his team did an impeccable job, clearly explaining the pros and cons of the many options. "I was given a four hour window for arrival (1:00p-5:00p). They arrived just before 5:00p. Both gentlemen were very personable and professional. As they examined my insert, they noted that they don't see a lot of pellet stoves. Apparently while outside they were in contact with somebody else from the company. It turns out that I my chimney was relined, but at a smaller diameter than any brushes they had. In the end they did not actually sweep my chimney, but only took a shop vac to the stove itself. Apparently wood pellet stoves do not typically suffer from the same residue buildup as traditional fireplaces or wood stoves due to the different fuel. Unfortunately, after they left, I then realized that the stove doesn't actually work. (To be clear, this is unrelated to the cleaning. I had not yet powered it on, and when I did there appears to be a power issue.)"

"I received A+ service from Granite Works. I met Bruno Valente, one of the co-owners, on my first visit. He was very friendly and helpful, not pushy like some sales people. The slab I liked the best was marked sold.  In a follow up discussion with Bruno, my brother found out that the sister to that slab was available. Bruno gave it a rating of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, and he was right.  Bruno held the slab for a few days until I could get there. Purchased it that day, and he held it for 5 months at no charge. Many companies my brother called on my behalf would not hold a slab longer than 30 days.
When my brother was visiting from out of town, they were kind enough to bring it out of storage so that he could see it.  That day, we met Art Rivera who spent considerable time with me us and provided invaluable advice about a new counter I was adding.  He also provided other design suggestions on the backsplash and paint color, which I followed with great results. That was an extra bonus I didn't expect. So, if Art gives you advice, you should definitely take it.
The templater, Glauber (hope this is the correct spelling), was extremely detail oriented and communicated well with my carpenter and his assistant. He made a suggestion for the end cap of the new counter and the handrail behind it that made it a true work of
art.  Gus Valente (co-owner), with assistance from Eduardo (stone cutter), did a great job of deciding what parts of the stone would go where in my kitchen and fireplace.  They have an amazing eye. I was so impressed by their finding parts of the slab in totally different areas that would best connect at the seams. The installers were terrific and that process went very smoothly. I have 2 seams that are barely noticeable.  Their work in the kitchen and my fireplace surround was impeccable.
Granite Works exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky.  My counters are a work of art.

"We had been told by a home inspector and another chimney sweep/repair company that we needed to replace our damper with a new lock-top damper requiring an adapter - a costly repair on our budget.   Prior to committing to the repair, we called A&T to come out and give us a second opinion.  Dennis from A&T evaluated our chimney and determined that the damper was basically fine but just a little rusty.   They applied some oil to the damper so it would move more freely and that was that.  
Not only did they save us hundreds of dollars on a repair we didn't need, they charged $0 for the visit and the (admittedly minor) work.  Dennis also pointed out another important repair that was needed - the heat reflecting panels that line the inside of the fireplace were cracked, which is a potential fire hazard.  This hadn't even been mentioned by the home inspector or the other chimney company.
So although I can't judge the quality of their work beyond applying a bit of oil, I can attest to their courtesy, integrity and professionalism and say that  from now on, I will call them first for all of my chimney needs.

"Tony and his colleague showed up and got straight to work.  The men were careful about tracking any dirt into the house and used shoe covers.  The job took about 30 minutes to complete and Tony was a wealth of information on how to use the wood burning fireplace and gave suggestions on using starter wood .  They inspected the fireplace and advised I needed two tiles to be replaced and gave me an estimate; along with the $150 credit from the Angie's List purchase the estimate was less than the purchase price for one tile from Home Depot.
I was happy with the overall service and would use them again.

"Mike came by and found that my A/C unit was completely out of refrigerant. He filled it up and tightened up some leaky valves. I plan on having him out in a month or two to see how low the system is and trouble shoot the leaks. He was professional and very helpful."
