"Dennis did everything he said he would. With some weather delays (as I expected), everything was completed in a timely fashion. I was kept in the loop at all stages and all communications/questions were professional and prompt. I would not hesitate to use 1st Choice again for any masonry work!"
This chimney was done from the roof up as contracted. Some of the mortar joints are still wet which you can see by the darker spots.
This is the 2nd chimney which we were only con
tracted to spot point any cracks or holes. After talking to my foreman, we decided it was best for us to point the whole chimney from the roof to the top and not charge the customer any additional money!!!
This is another view of the same chimney in the prior picture. All 4 sides were pointed.
Another view of the 2nd chimney showing we pointed the all 4 sides!!!

"We contracted with them in March to begin work in April.   They initially clean up the yard and then maintained the lawn since then for $25/week.   The lawn has been maintained and they always clean up.

"To first start this off Jason came out and explained everything that would be removed and installed. We got on there schedule and Brian and terry were there to do the work. Terry did all the mechanical work followed by Brian who did an excellent job with all the tile work and Jason came in to do the finish work it was a great experience. Hope we can do more projects together.

"The job was to be done in two days, and the three men who arrived in the morning finished the job in one day. The removal of the one chimney included the replacement of "felt" and new shingles close to the color of existing shingles on the roof. The other chimney is in use because it is needed for the hot water tank. A new 35ft liner was installed. The mortar joints were grinded out, repointed and waterproofed. A new crownsaver/seal and cap was installed on the chimney. The chimney to the hot water tank was an ongoing problem with moisture on the walls in one room for years and the house is close to 85 years old. They did an outstanding job and cleaned up the bricks, etc from the chimney that was removed."

"We definitely had electrical issues in our house.  We told the electrician from Piernik Contracting what our problems were, and he knew exactly what to do.  The work he did was EXEMPLARY ELECTRICAL WORK!  This electrician and his assistant solved ALL of our electrical problems in ONE LONG DAY!  This meant so much to us, because for TWO MONTHS we had been dealing with ANOTHER electrical company that made our electrical issues worse.
Piernik Family of Contractors have corrected problems regarding work done incorrectly by other contractors in the past.  This involved plumbing, dishwasher installation, etc.
When you hire PIERNIK CONTRACTING, you know you will get HONEST, QUALITY WORK THAT YOU CAN COUNT ON!

"Worked with Rob Puskas, he showed up on time everyday and was very pleasant I was worried about how the repair would look but it blends in to the surrounding brick. Would hire again but I hope I don't have to."

"Everything went well. Demo of the old deck took less than a day. Total work time was about 4 days excluding weather delays. We love our new deck and it gives us plenty of usable outdoor space. We had to contact RMS a few weeks after the install was done concerning a few warping boards and his crew came back out to repair them without any additional fuss. I do recommend RMS and I currently have them working on a few additional interior and exterior projects."

A chimney liner lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on the material. Aluminum liners last about five years, while cast-in-place liners can last up to 50 years. Regular professional inspections can reveal signs of deterioration, such as cracking or crumbling chimney walls, ensuring necessary repairs are made to maintain structural safety and efficiency.

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage.
