Customers say: Quick response

"I needed an expert to check out my fireplace issue- soot, air flow, rusty gas pipes. After checking all out (chimney was fine, no sweep needed) he determined a new gas log system was needed- rusty pipes were too gone and the prior installation was backwards! I picked a new set and installed it a few weeks later. Mr Hammond provided expert service, was honestly professional, and super clean. He arrives in a van with the name on the side and uniform-very safe and legit. Conversation was easy as his personality. I have him on my list for other work and already made a referral to another homeowner. (Austin, Texas)"

"The process of working with Mason Man went smoothly from the point of first contact through completion of the project. Courtney contacted me within an hour or two of my requesting a quote via their website. Jaye provided an estimate for the job using pictures sent via email, and was able to provide a great design suggestion when we asked for a last minute addition to the job. All of the communication was prompt, the estimate was reasonable and met, and the work was performed within the timeframe provided. Jaye's workers were prompt, they did a great job prepping the space to minimize mess in my living space, and did a great job of cleaning up when the job was complete, both indoors and out. His crew seemed to have a good rapport with him which always puts me at ease, and both he and his crew seemed to take genuine pride in their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mason Man to friends and neighbors in the future. Very pleased with the outcome of the project, especially since they were essentially extending a project that another company previously installed.

"Initially we had some issues with the installation, but after speaking with the owner they went above and beyond to address all my concerns. As a small business owner I understand that things don't always go as planned each time, and it's how you respond to those issues that makes the lasting impression."

We had 3 bids all through Angie's List, one of the companies Granite Outlet II that  we had used before. The other two bids were from Solid Stone Fab. and KAT Fab

Most of the bids were similar, except all of the companies provided different prices for removal, sink cutout, plumbing for rehook-up of sink, and rehooking up stove top.

Granite Outlet II had a plumber in-house. Solid Stone had a recommendation for a plumber and KAT didn't provide a recommendation.

We kept our backslash and KAT was the only company that had an issue with cutting it down if needed. And it was cut to allow for the quartz.

We chose Solid Stone Fabricators because we trusted Claudia to do a good job for us. She was very attuned to our needs and anytime we asked her a question if she didn't already know it she got right back with us. She took good notes and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We went to see the where the countertops were fabricated at Solid Stone and we also went to Cambria Quartz in Carrollton and looked at the Quartz we wanted and received large samples there.

They came out and measured and showed up on time, then we scheduled for the install.

The installers showed up at their scheduled time and finished in less then 5 hours. The next morning the plumber came and hooked the sink and stove back up.

Claudia came out a few days later and bought us our extra quartz. its VERY heavy but we wanted to keep it and they also made us a cutting board.

I LOVE MY COUNTERTOPS AND NEW GRANITE SINK!

"Excellent! Doorbell worked like a charm and looked good too. And when he was done with the masonry work, I couldn't even tell where it had been done. He was right on time. We will probably contact him again to install a new front door."

"John and his crew did a tremendous job installing new siding around the entire house and building a patio covering. John transformed an unusable slab on concrete into a beautiful outdoor seating area. I was extremely impressed with the quality of work and timeliness. The project only took about 4 weeks from quote to completion. I highly recommend using John for any outdoor projects."

"We had a bad experience with Signature.  We had high hopes based on the reviews on Angie's List and Signature's description of how our project would go.  Our project, a 5x9 bathroom with the same footprint, was scheduled to be completed in three weeks; it took three months.   We were introduced to Chad, our project manager, and told he would be there for us throughout  the project.  His schedule was so tight, he had little time to oversee our project.  At some point in the project, Chad was taken off the project and Emily managed it over the phone.  With this kind of management, we had problem after problem.  A wall they installed had to be torn out and redone; the tile floor had to be torn out and redone; electrical work had to be torn out and redone.  They left us without power to our garage for almost a week because the GFI they installed in the bathroom, which controls the garage electricity, did not work.  I could go on and on with problems, but our complaint is we paid Signature for a service they did not provide.  Emily did call and review the project almost every night, but we needed someone on site to oversee the project.  Our invoicing was incorrect as well.   On our first invoice, we were billed the incorrect amount for the tile overage.  We did not notice the error and  paid the first invoice in full.  When we received our second invoice, and they again billed us for tile overage, we realized the first invoice had included the amount of a tile estimate--we never used that tile.  Repeatedly, we have contacted Emily to ask her for a detail accounting of our project.  In an email on 8/18/2014, she communicated she would get a final invoice to address the overpayment.  To date, Emily has not responded to us, even though we have repeatedly emailed and texted her.  We even tried calling the sales person to ask him to have her respond to us.   Originally, we had planned to remodel our kitchen as well.  We decided to see how they did on a small project first.  Needless to say, we will not be using them for the kitchen project.  On our walk-thru we communicated our dissatisfaction with how our job went; the response was they lost a few key people.  We should not have to pay the price for that.  As far as the final results, the job was acceptable.  The quality of work probably would have been done to a higher standard if Chad would have been available.  They disrupted our lives to the point we just wanted them gone.

A chimney liner lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on the material. Aluminum liners last about five years, while cast-in-place liners can last up to 50 years. Regular professional inspections can reveal signs of deterioration, such as cracking or crumbling chimney walls, ensuring necessary repairs are made to maintain structural safety and efficiency.

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage.
