"American Professional Chimney installed a gas fireplace that is both beautiful (looks like a real wood fireplace) and warm. They installed a gasline that was done a very professional way, burying the line underground. Stephen and his team did an impeccable job, clearly explaining the pros and cons of the many options. Super happy with the service."

"Al was fantastic! He clearly explained that my fireplace was shutting off as a safety feature due to low oxygen levels. He also reassembled the logs in the firebox and showed me the proper way to start and stop the fireplace. Highly recommend his service!"

Customers say: True professional

"These guys are AMAZING!! They were prompt, punctual, and professional. Jaime and Kevin provided information and updates throughout the process as well as pictures. They were diligent in making sure the bricks matched as closely as possible with the existing brick and we were comfortable with using the upgraded system. They often answered questions before I asked the question."

"Great job. Our fireplace was falling away from the house due to water leaks and rotted wood. We hired Chimney.com to remove the old insert, rebuild the support, remove the brick surrounding the fireplace, install a new insert, and replace drywall. Long story short, they came, they saw, they fixed. The work was done on schedule, the team was thoughtful and cleaned and vacuumed the work area each day before leaving. We are very happy with the end result and would definitely hire again."

A chimney liner lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on the material. Aluminum liners last about five years, while cast-in-place liners can last up to 50 years. Regular professional inspections can reveal signs of deterioration, such as cracking or crumbling chimney walls, ensuring necessary repairs are made to maintain structural safety and efficiency.

Yes, a chimney liner is essential. It prevents dangerous heat and toxic gases from reaching surrounding materials, reducing fire risks and structural damage. A well-installed liner safeguards your masonry, directs harmful emissions outside, and enhances heating efficiency. Regular inspections and cleaning maintain your chimney liner’s performance, keeping your home secure and energy-efficient.

Creosote buildup occurs when burning wood releases tar that adheres to the chimney liner, posing a fire hazard. Regular professional chimney inspections and cleanings by qualified chimney sweeps will effectively manage creosote deposits, preventing dangerous conditions and costly repairs.
