"I had a problem room that had little insulation. Cold in the winter. Hot in the summer. No attic access. Energy services group was able to drill large holes in the ceiling & outside wall and spray in insulation. Then plug the holes and spackle. Replaced canister lights with led ones. They explained to my wife what they were going to do before it happened. Then said what they actually were able to accomplish. Great communication. Quick to schedule. Cleaned up after themselves. A quality company"

Customers say: Quick response

"Highly recommended. A very professional and effective team!!! Brittan Built was the lead in a Home Energy Star project for our house. Dan Brittin is extremely knowledgable in all aspects of home energy efficiency processes, equipment, and installation as well as the mechanics of the industry at both the commercial and governmental levels. Dan's team did a thorough and efficient job in the insulation project which included the attic, attic stairs replacement, garage, and dryer venting. The on site team were friendly, knowledgable, and kept me informed every step of the way. Could not be more satisfied with the work and the significant improvement in temperature consistency throughout our house, especially between the first and second floors. This project also included a high efficiency water heater installation. While Brittin Built had several installer options, I was able to use my preferred provider who worked directly with Brittan Built so the entire project was seamless. Thank you so much!!!"

"I called around 6:30 this morning and my call was returned promptly.   Robert arrived at my home within one hour of my call.  He was courteous and very professional.  He assessed our system and corrected the problem.  There was no attempt to sell us a new system or do any more than what was actually required.  I asked him for information on new heating and air conditioning units and he took his time to explain the pros and cons of various systems.  There was no hard sell, only information.   He honored the Angie's List coupon that was advertised.  He impressed me as a very honest individual.

"I can't say enough about the team at Old Skool HVAC. I learned of this organization from a close friend who had work done and recommended them. Frank is a great guy. On time, professional, knowledgeable, and his team is a reflection of this as well. They were always on time, on schedule, clean, and very personable. They finished our job a little early, and during the first heat wave just about week or two ago, our house never felt better. Great service, quality, and pricing. It's funny, with central AC, you never really know that it's hot out until you leave the house and come home. It's during this first transition that I realized how quiet and effective of a system that was installed. If you are looking for any form of HVAC work in your home of business, I'd recommend contacting this group of professionals."

"Ira was cordial and professional. He has practical experience and knowledge of residential energy audits. He was able to provide useful suggestions but not definitive solutions to issues. That may have been due to inaccessible interior walls. I am frustrated that a full written report that had been promised still has not been produced six weeks later."

"Suggested that I needed a new furnace (because of the age). I don't remember any suggestions to having my chimney checked for any blockages( of which I have now learned later could be the source of my problem) before purchasing a new gas furnace). He did not spend any time talking about what furnaces they sell or installation prices - which was good because I did not feel any pressure to purchase anything). On hindsight, I wished that he had pulled out the burner and checked for any dirty ports, etc. (which the utility company used to do whenever I needed service) as part of the diagnostic labor.) He did spend the time allotted as per the Angie's list deal. I did request an estimate for a new gas furnace of which he provided 2 days later. I must say their response time was excellent - After I paid for the Angie's list deal (on a Saturday-12/10/16), their company called me no more than 15 mins later plus I was able to get an appointment on that Monday (12/12/16)!! The tech/salesperson was polite and professional."

"They do the checks for free. Mostly safety checks. Making sure there's no leaks anywhere. They do really well. They are punctual and show up on time. If they say they will be there at a certain time, they are there."

"We have a large 25 year old single family home with 2 units of AC and heating units, one for each floor. As one can understand several things can go wrong with these units, when the house is getting old. We have used the services of Adem for about 10 years now and this review is based on both repair and installation services for heating and cooling. Adem is reliable, does quality work, takes pride in his work. We highly recommend him."

FAQs for home energy audit projects in Bellmawr, NJ

To prepare for a home energy audit, begin by preparing your space. Clear any obstructions around the attic, basement, ducts, crawl space, appliances, windows, and doors. Gather all your energy bills from the last year and information on home upgrades if you’ve made any changes. If you’ve previously had an audit done, include that information as well.

Finally, be prepared to discuss any questions or concerns you have. If you’ve noticed a rise in your energy bills, hot or cold areas in your home, or unusual sounds from ducts or appliances, make a list to discuss with your auditor.

How often you should get an energy audit depends on the age and condition of your home. New homes with no issues are recommended to get an audit every five years, while older homes should audit every two to three years. If you’ve noticed any changes to your energy bills or other areas of concern, you should get an audit as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to conduct an audit if you’ve made changes or upgrades to your home, such as installing a new furnace, windows, or doors.

An energy audit takes three to four hours to complete. Your auditor sets up testing equipment, conducts an exhaustive walk‑through inspection, and performs all required evaluations to identify energy loss points. The audit follows a systematic review that includes visual assessments, mechanical tests, and detailed documentation, resulting in a precise report of improvement recommendations.

You can schedule a home energy audit any time of the year—it all depends on what's convenient for you. That said, timing it right can help you tackle issues before they impact your comfort and bills. If you live in a colder climate and want to avoid high heating costs in the winter, getting an audit in the summer allows you to make improvements before the temperature drops. On the contrary, if hot summers are your concern, a spring audit can help you stay cool and save on air conditioning.

To find a qualified home energy auditor, start by searching for local energy auditors with great reviews and recognized certifications like those from the Building Performance Institute (BPI). These credentials ensure they're qualified and can help you qualify for rebates. Don't hesitate to ask about their audit methods and schedule a consultation to see if they're a good fit for your needs. Doing some research upfront helps you get top-notch service and maximize your energy efficiency.

Once you have your energy audit report, it's time to take action. Review the recommendations and prioritize the upgrades that make the most sense for your home and budget. Reach out to experienced pros to get quotes and discuss how they can help. By making these improvements, you'll boost your home's energy efficiency, lower your utility bills, and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
