"My boiler with steam radiators recently broke. I had two different companies tell me it was ruined and I needed a new one for about $33k. I had a 3rd company, Behold Heating And Cooling, come and fix it in a matter of minutes. They were awesome, honest and friendly. If I need new steam vents in the future , they are about 1/3 the price of the competitors. Donâ t get taken advantage of, these guys are awesome."

"Service went very well. Dan called approximately one hour before his arrival to let us know his ETA. Upon arrival, we discussed the issue and he inspected our inside and outside unit. He was able to diagnose the issue fairly quickly and went to work on fixing it. He explained the repairs before completing, including the cost. He also left us with recommendations for the future. Overall, the visit lasted about 90 minutes and the repair cost was (luckily) minimal. Our home was back to feeling cool within 36 hours (after 48 hours of no relief from the heat). Based on this experience, we will certainly use All Weather Heating & Cooling for our future HVAC needs.  <br />"

"Very professional. They did an annual service check on my furnace. While doing so, they found that my filter was wrong and could have caused major damage to the furnace. They were able to find me the correct filter in a timely manner. I'll be calling them whenever something is wrong or I need another furnace cleaning/check."

"Initially I requested an estimate for a plumbing project already in progress with some challenges. Keith responded immediately to get details and schedule to come out to look at what was needed. He proposed a solution that eliminated any impact to walls or tile to replace old valves and faucets. He and his team completed the work on time and were neat and professional and results were better than I expected. There was no damage at all to what was old tile. I subsequently had him assess an old water heater and decided to replace it. It had to go into a very small areas and be upgraded to code and he was able to solution the replacement to fit perfectly in the limited space. Previously on the project we had noticed a periodic odor of gas but no one had verified a source. Keith identified a leak in the area of the furnace right next to the water heater. We had decided to upgrade the furnace and AC and again Keith and his team were able to get an order in quickly, get the install done exactly as committed and fixed the gas leak in the process. Based on the quality of work performed in each case and the expertise of the team I hired Plumbing Tree again to assess an old furnace and AC at my primary residence. The furnace had been failing at the end of the winter but I waited for summer to replace and it had deteriorated and was not safe. Keith evaluated and gave me two options and was able to get the order in immediately after I decided to go ahead. He scheduled the install within a few days. His crew was on time and completed the install of furnace and AC in one day. Again they were neat, efficient, described all the changes from the old furnace and thermostat to the new and answered all my questions. Everything has been functioning just as I expected for both heat and AC. I recommend Plumbing Tree for these services based on quality and reliability - also cost was competitive and the team they used had the expertise required. Additionally they were easy to work with and I plan to use them again on another project. Thanks Keith and team- I appreciate the quality work!"

"My dad is elderly and needed a new HVAC system. So I decided to find a person who could install a new HVAC system and we found Cody. Cody was very friendly, honest, and communicated very well. At one point he told us we could probably go another 3-5 years with the current system, but since my dad only has so many years left we told he to go ahead and install a whole new system in. He treated us like gold and even spent the time showing my Dad all the new features with the thermostat. I would highly recommend Cody for any repairs or HVAC needs you have."

"Given that our 30-year-old old forced-air gas furnace was at the point to where we were getting a little concerned over its future reliability, we decided to have someone come out to have a look. Based on this family-run heating and air company&apos;s great reviews, I gave Apple Aire the first shot at the job. And then, upon meeting and discussing the issue with Shane, we decided to look no further. Shane Terry, fourth-generation member of the well-recommended team, came out to our house for a thorough inspection. Noting the scaly residue outside of the heat exchanger, along with a couple of hairline fractures in the exchanger itself, he recommended replacement. Even though the quote was quite reasonable, I was somewhat reluctant at first but, all things considered worry over failure at the least opportune moment, along with other factors, we gave Shane the go-ahead. I liked it that he did not try to sell us up to a more expensive high-efficiency model (which I already had in mind). To the contrary, Shane explained that the extra expense and materials involved (would require a nearby floor drain, for example) would offset any future heating-bill savings, in our case. So we went with the new 2-stage Amana (manufactured by Goodman). The heat exchanger on this unit comes with an amazing guarantee, by the way. This was a big job. The old furnace did not have properly vented combustion air, for one thing something of which I was already keenly aware. The only source of combustion air was from natural infiltration, such as leaks from the bottom of an old garage door. In addition, in order to continue to use our brick chimney for exhaust air, an inside liner was required. Hence, Shane brought three other crew members with him (in order to get the complete job completed inside of one day). Darrell, Dave and Chris arrived on time and hit the ground running (Shane, who was following up on another job, arrived a little later)! While Dave was working on the new venting and other ductwork, Darrel and Chris proceeded to dismantle and remove the old furnace. Before long, they had the new unit in place, and matched up to the existing heating and return air ducts in the basement. They also installed a new filter box, which makes essential filter changes a breeze! Before, I had to get down on my hands and knees on the hard concrete floor, unplug a few wires (cutting my fingers in the process) just to get to the filter. Between that, and stuffing a new one in place, without bending or damaging it, this did not exactly encourage me to change filters as often as I should! While Darrell installed a new digital thermostat upstairs, Shane was finishing up some furnace wiring downstairs. Then we went through a final walkthrough. These guys were thoroughly competent, pleasant, and overall great to work with (not that I did any work, myself!). The finished job was extremely tidy, and they kept things clean as they went. And, considering all of the work tha"

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Black Hawk, CO

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
