I called ABC Garage and the customer service was very thorough in explaining that older models to not have that feature, so she walked me through the various models and pricing in case we wanted to replace the unit. We have young kids, so I knew we'd probably want to go with the upgrade. The day of the service call, the technician arrived promptly and verified that the current system was old enough that it didn't have this safety feature. We discussed the options again (he had all three models in his van) and he installed it promptly. When that was completed, he also showed how the garage door itself could use to be adjusted so it made less noise when opened. I was happy to pay the additional fee to get that resolved. All told, it was a very positive experience - professional, thorough, friendly, and timely. There is a 5-year warranty on the unit and 1-year labor warranty, but I expect this product to last much longer in the future."

"The lock on my bedroom door was not working properly; it was catching on the strike plate. He repaired the strike plate so the door would close properly. I’ve had a good overall experience with him. He is dependable, he always answers when I call even if it is in the evening or on the weekend. He offers emergency service on weekends if he is needed. If it's not an emergency he schedules one day ahead and gives a one hour time frame and is always there when he says he will be. There is no waiting around or wondering if he isn't going to show up. He’s well prepared and comes with equipment. He knows what he’s doing, he looks me in the eyes and explains thing to me. He works fast, responsibly, and he’s very responsive."

Technician clearly explained the differences and said they could service it if I replaced a component with one they do service. however, since it was working just fine, the cost to replace made no sense. I appreciated his candor and honesty. If we ever have to replace the door and need a professional installer, Beltway is definitely on the list of those to call."
