"Our large church / school facility required insulation upgrades due to high utility costs and severe gutter icing. We chose Installed Services due to their favorable bid, ability to provide knowledgeable explanation of our insulation issues, and responsiveness to questions / communications. Work was completed in a timely manner. We would likely hire them again if we need further services in the future."

"Excellent work. Work was done inn 2016, but I was sick at the time and didn't write a review. They installed cellulose insulation in attic and a few overhead crawl spaces that they had to contort themselves to get into. House has been much warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Plus, ice melt and water leaking above laundry room was solved. Added baffles to overhang, wrapped recessed lights. Was professional job all around."

"The service was great. They were no problems whatsoever. They were a good company to work with. They were timely. I have no complaints. There were additional charges to the $445 Big Deal cost. I essentially paid twice that because I had them do the entire attic versus the Big Deal was just for a certain amount. I needed double the amount. They credited me that amount that it needed and then, I paid retail price for the remainder. The guy that gave the estimate was very nice and timely with the appointment. The crew that came out to do the work was very nice, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. I had no complaints. As far as the company itself, the product, what they are selling, what they are doing, and the installation, it was fine. I would recommend them. They came out probably within a week or two after I purchased the Big Deal. It was fairly quick."

"Marty was recommended from other builders in the area. He had a great reputation and I needed an outfit that would take care of a remediation issue properly and timely. Flat roof design and insulation is very specific especially on non-vented roofs. All ceiling cavities must be completely filled with insulation so there is no airflow or possibility of vapor condensation. On our new built home 3 years ago, the top floor ceiling space was not filled completely due to poor management of the builder, Blossom Homes and the sub insulator , Alpha Insulation. Condensation and smell started the first spring and thru many attempts to find and eradicate the problem. finally the decision had to be made to tear the entire ceiling and insulation out and remediate and reconstruct the entire 780 sf ceiling. The builder declared bankruptcy, and the original Insulator refused to aid in any way. Marty was called in to help with the project and he knew exactly what the issues were, and how to solve them. His crew was clean, timely, respectful of the rest of the house and the jobsite. We replaced the batten insulation with blown-in dense pack cellulose over a "smart" vapor barrier Intello system. Marty's organization was proficient in knowledge and a history of using this newer material. The job turned out fantastic! I would recommend Berry insulation and one you can trust to deliver what is promised."

"

I hired them because of your rating.  First of all, there was a HUGE communication gap starting with the first phone call.  When they came, they spoke very little English and whenever I would ask a question they would brush it off or ignore it.  If it looked like a problem arose and I would ask what the issue was, they just talked to each other in Spanish.  Twice they went outside and smoked in the driveway, and when I would ask about the problem, they just said in broken English that the boss was coming (first time) and the electricians were coming (2nd time) - no explanation of what was going on.

There was nothing in writing except what the Columbia Gas energy auditor left me with the estimates, and I later discovered the first guy who came to check out my house and the work to be done  took everything with him.  When the workers came, they asked me how much they were supposed to charge for things according to the paperwork, which I no longer had.

AFTER they installed the insulation I was told since it was now so air tight that they had to install vents in the attic or I would have mold growing in there, which left me no choice.   I just found out on the statement that it cost me an additional $400.

Then there was the bathroom fan which they installed. The energy auditor had advised me to get a fan with a timer, but I decided I wouldn't complicate things and just go with a regular fan.   They ended up  tearing up my bathroom wall and slapping some spackle on it.  Then AFTER they installed the fan, as they were leaving I discovered the fan could not be turned off separately from the light. When I asked them about it they said, no it can't be turned off unless you turn the light off.   Now whenever I turn on the bathroom light I have to listen to the noisy fan, even if I'm just cleaning or combing my hair.

I've called twice to see if they would change the fan so it could be turned off, but they have NOT returned my calls.

**UPDATE**

First of all, playing the "racist" card is a cheap shot. I hired them knowing they were a minority firm and also recommended them to my neighbor based on your list BEFORE my experience with them. Next, to excuse knocking two holes in my bathroom wall he says in his response, "the customer provided the fan that was smaller than the old one." There never was a fan in my bathroom, nor did I supply the fan he installed. He says, "customer could have signed a waiver" regarding the four attic vents, but I wasn't told I needed them until they had already sprayed the insulation and said mold would form if I didn't. When they sent someone to check the job site for any issues ahead of time, I was told there were no issues. I am retired and on a fixed income and when the statement finally came they had added on $400 for the four vents ($100/each), raising my bill to $765. My next door neighbor, who are a young working couple only got charged $200 for the same four vents ($50/each) by Aviles just a couple weeks ago. I guess this what they can do when they come with absolutely no written contract or even an itemized list for you to approve and sign before they begin work. Finally, I did call their secretary twice, and no one got back to me until I finally called Columbia Gas."

"Duane and the installer (name?) worked efficiently to get the job done. The weather was "iffy" so they cam out to do the inside work and then made another trip to blow in the insulation in the walls. Wall method was to remove a piece of siding, drill a hole in the wall and fill, then cover back up with siding so you can't see any holes. They did a nice job and cleaned up after themselves each time."
