"My family recently purchased a home that is 10 years old and during the inspection, an issue came up with the safety mechanism that keeps the garage door from closing down on an obstruction (like your car, kid, or pet). I called ABC Garage and the customer service was very thorough in explaining that older models to not have that feature, so she walked me through the various models and pricing in case we wanted to replace the unit. We have young kids, so I knew we'd probably want to go with the upgrade. The day of the service call, the technician arrived promptly and verified that the current system was old enough that it didn't have this safety feature. We discussed the options again (he had all three models in his van) and he installed it promptly. When that was completed, he also showed how the garage door itself could use to be adjusted so it made less noise when opened. I was happy to pay the additional fee to get that resolved. All told, it was a very positive experience - professional, thorough, friendly, and timely. There is a 5-year warranty on the unit and 1-year labor warranty, but I expect this product to last much longer in the future."

They both respected our property as though it was their own, they cleaned up every area they worked but not at the end of the day but whenever the area needed to be cleaned. They picked up debris after each window install and each trim install. They kept their work area clean at all times. They both were so easy to talk to and answered all our questions and concerns. The trim work around each and every Zen window is beautifully done and looks expertly finished. The finishes of the Bay window are so nice and having a one piece four pane window shows the quality of the Zen windows quality. "When American Jewel installed the door I gave them A grades as I thought they did an excellent job.  But after using the door for a few weeks I noticed the dead bolt didn't close completely, but only about 2/3, and also noticed the screen door was no longer aligned properly, so although it closed and looked right, the door was slightly off and it would no longer lock.  I called American Jewel and they scheduled the installer to return and make the minor corrections.  The installer did not show up.  When I called American Jewel again, they did not return my calls. I complained to Angie's List, and via their complaint resolution process American Jewel contacted me.  They were very apologetic and attributed it to a mix up, accepted responsibility and sent the installer to my home to make the minor corrections.  I would use American Jewel again, despite this hiccup, as my wife and I like the door they installed, feel we received excellent value, and ultimately American Jewel followed through on the minor problems I described and corrected them all."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"I have used George's Painting in the past and have been completely satisfied. The only part of the estimate process that needs work is the email request through Angie's List. We played email tag a bit before I started calling which was much quicker in responses. Anyway, he came to the house, looked it over, discussed with me his thoughts on what needed to be done and prepared an estimate. After accepting the estimate, a few days later, we discussed the start week and potentially how long it might take. The team showed up bright and early the expected day and began with power washing the exterior. The first day was spent mainly preparing for the painting and repairing the bay window and removing the security gate in the back which was more difficult than expected. George discussed the difficulty with this and we discussed and came to an agreed upon additional amount as this was an unexpected tough job. The second day, the team again arrived early and began the painting. They finished up by the end of the day and George returned to walk around with me to make sure I was satisfied, which I was.

The only thing that would have made it better, was if I knew the step by step process they were planning ahead of time. However, I considered this minor.

"Job went pretty much as planned.  Jamie was able to overcome some minor imperfections in our walls, and the crown molding looks great. He had great suggestions on areas that we were unsure of.  He plugged  up the nail holes and caulked top and bottom of the molding. The end result is great.  I will definitely call Dunn the Snyder Way for any future projects or renovations.

"The windows were manufactured earlier than we expected and we were promptly contacted about installation. Although we were told the installation was scheduled for two days, the four man crew that arrived was able to finish in a single day! Each window was installed with the same consistency in quality and efficiency. Furthermore, the crew did an excellent job protecting our floors and furnishings in every room. When it comes to evaluating the installation crew, we couldn't be happier. Regarding price, we probably paid more than we should, but that's on us. We advise getting several other quotes first and then get Castle's quote. This will definitely help in your negotiating. The windows have definitely helped to eliminate draftiness in our home and helped to maintain a consistent temperature."
