"For about 15 years I unsuccessfully used 4 different HVAC companies until I found Pro Climate Solutions, LLC. Every one of the previous 4 companies required many call backs to complete the job. All costing $$$. Adam Nusbaum and Pro Climate Solutions analyzed the problem and provided me various repair options or replace options all with their costs and benefits. I learned that Adam taught for many years HVAC and Refrigerations systems at a local Technical College. What a difference it makes to hire a company headed by a professional that is competent and uses common sense to econonically guide you in a cost benefit repair/replace your AirConditioning needs. Adamâ s service Van is well organized. He never has to dig through a â Pileâ to fine what he needs. That alone will tell you he will provide you with professional and up to date system analysis. He never leaves a mess at the end of the day. He does it right the first time. He has installed and serviced my frenon based GeoThermal units. This system requires refrigerent and air handling system requirements as well as efficient ducting placement. He conducted a load evaluation of our home to determine the proper A/C size need. He has also serviced my wall mounted workshop split A/C system. I highly recommend Adam Nusbaum and Pro Climate Solutions LLC for all your A/C and refrigeranat needs. kobylksan@gmail.com"

FAQs for heat pump repair or service projects in Charleston, SC

Heat pumps move air to cool or warm your home during different seasons. In cold weather, they extract heat from the outdoors and bring it inside to warm your home. In warm weather, they remove heat from your home to keep it cool. This efficient heat transfer increases indoor comfort, improves energy efficiency, and reduces the need for additional heating systems.

Replacing a heat pump costs between $4,200 and $7,900. The actual cost depends on the type of heat pump. Geothermal models are the most expensive to replace, with the price of the unit plus labor ranging between $6,000 and $20,000. Air source models cost between $4,500 and $8,000 to replace, while the replacement costs for a mini split unit run between $1,300 and $8,000.

The average heat pump is designed to last about 14 years, roughly the same as a central air conditioning system (12 to 15 years). Newer models can last 20 years or more. How long your heat pump lasts depends on how frequently you use it and whether you perform routine maintenance like annual tuneups.
