"My wife and I bought a house a couple years ago, and became owners of a radiant heating systems installed more than 20 years ago. Tony and Damian did a great job of understanding how my radiant heating system works, what repairs were needed/what was failing, and where upgrades were needed. They replaced the pump, both expansion tanks, and the neutralizer. Additionally, they noticed the hot water tank was installed incorrectly, and the hot and cold water connections were flipped. It's amazing the system worked, and it's nice to have a system that's correctly installed (even if it's 20 years later!). Additionally, they secured the expansion tanks to the wall (now required by code), replaced the deteriorating copper pipes connected to the neutralizer with plastic (I'm sure this is code now as well), and re-routed the overflow pipes to the outside (rather than the floor!). "Note: The work performed was for replacement of the Triangle Tube boiler for my radiant heating and domestic hot water system. There was no option matching this so I selected heat pump. Sean and Climate Services was assigned to my service request by my home warranty company and I am so glad they did. My Triangle Tube boiler was failing to ignite and Sean determined it was due to a cracked heat exchanger. It was decided to install a new Triangle Tube boiler due to the age of the old unit. This started a chain of events which included receiving new boilers that were damaged and the closure of the Triangle Tube company. Sean worked with the distributor to return the Triangle Tube boiler and replace it with a Navien system which has worked beautifully. Sean is meticulous, pays attention to detail and takes great pride in his work. I am planning to use Climate Services to design and install a multi-zone mini-split system for the same house."

But note that the going price in this area for heat pumps is significantly higher than in other areas of the country - regardless of which installer I let bid on my home. In my opinion, given energy price trends, the environmental impact of heating with gas, and having existing solar power on my home, the benefits of a heat pump outweighs the high price in this area, but YMMV. Think thru your position re: BayREN rebates and the recent federal Inflation Reduction Act rebates carefully to make sure you qualify."
